World Replace All The Hoppers With Npc

A friend of mine lost a Gaia to a hopper today. I remember when I lost some of my best items to the hoppers. None of this would have happened if hoppers were replaced with NPCs. We have NPCs for selling gear, giving keys and other items, merchants, there should be no reason we still use hoppers to collect items.

this SHOULD be done. it will take a while to implement but will 100% be worth it. It will stop players from quitting and even make the server look like more effort was put into it.

 

yea and they dont necessarily have to be villagers they can just be like the token collecting things in hive or ToA
man this is jsut getting better and better
there may be some places where it looks out of the ordinary but for things like LI or dungeons itd totally be great since you wont even have to switch to the item to actually toss it out and u can just click the npc instead

 

I think the problem might be that once the npc's accept all required items they won't accept any more and become basically useless.

or you can right click a block on the floor or smth and it will take your required item.

 

It would be impossible to team a dungeon because you have to hand them all in at once and they are untradeable .

 

Replace all drop buttons with H, I also lost a gaia to a scammer, yes none of this would have happened if the hopper wasnt there and if the hopper wasnt there the dungeon wouldnt be working and there would be no point going there so are you going to blame the lego because you stepped on it? the reason we still have droppers is because it takes way less time

I just lost something (probably not valuable) to a hopper. But damn, a Gaia banished to the Hopper. I'm sorry man.
That must feel terrible. I hope hoppers do get replaced soon. It'll be 100x better for the game.

This could work and I see no reason on why it hasn't been done yet. We already have villagers/npcs that, when we right click on, take stuff from our inventory.

 

Why have they not done this for dungeons yet? It can be ridiculously hard to throw tokens into hoppers when you have 15 mobs chasing after you at ludicrous speed. You try to throw the tokens in, but you end up missing because a mob hit you a few times.

it would be faster to add something into the game than use whats allready here, that makes allot of sense

we need a few hoppers because who doesn't love throwing mythics down the hatch for fun?

 

This won’t work because the quest system won’t allow you to use the NPC more than once

 

Yeah it would require a completely new NPC to be coded.

 

The funny thing is that they already have this in ToA and The Hive, and they work perfectly fine there.

So I don't see why not.
(Except for hidden hoppers, like Iron Heart pt 2 or House of Twain)

 

If you actually bothered and read replies above you, you would understand why it wouldn't work.
