Rather than saying "set spawn here" your spawn should be automatically set if you use the inn. However, there should be an option to "rest" at the inn rather than sleeping at it, which will restore health and mana without changing your spawn. (Sleeping at the inn would also restore health and mana.)

I'm thinking the cost to rest will be 7 emeralds plus 5 for every level you are. (Level 1 costs 12 emeralds, but level 101 costs 512 emeralds, or 8 Emerald Blocks) to make a good emerald sink.

The cost to stay at the inn will probably be based on the town. I'm thinking it will be a number of emeralds plus the resting cost. (Let's say you are using an inn that costs 2 Emerald Blocks to stay in and you are level 101; it will cost you 640 emeralds, or 10 Emerald blocks. I imagine Ragni would have a token fee of 4 emeralds to sleep at the inn.)

This way, the inns are more like they are in other games. Perhaps certain inns would have an additional option to pay double for a 'Deluxe Room' or something, which would give you a bonus to one of your stats for a few minutes.

adding another spawn system will fix the one we already have? all they would do is use the same code for the spawn system and set the spawns to different locations, or just make a new spawn system which would take so much more time that just fixing the current one

Not exactly. I don’t see it as that difficult to remove the “spawn in nearest city” thing and just have a “setspawn (player name) (current Inn)” ... I’m not a command block person but meh
