    > Before anybody says something silly, no this is NOT the post titled "Deleted Guilds," that is not the most recent update that I am talking about! <
(can't count the number of times i've gotten this.)

    ------------------------------------------------------------

Plain and simple. The community has been waiting far too long regarding the latest update to guild wars: Namely the massive shakeup of Guild Defenses and other questionable additions that I so badly want to address, but there is no data to cite. Most major updates are posted about quite timely, whether they be on guilds, Xp weekends, sales, map updates, etc. Usually they're posted same-day or within a few days after. This latest Guild update has gone Multiple WEEKS without a peep from the staff members! This is bad because...

    - There is no central outlet for discussion on the content.
    - No confirmed, written resource to cite for separate suggestion/feedback threads on the update
    - Wars are so laggy and freaking honor guards take up the whole screen with their huge bodies, making it very hard to gather information
    - Frankly, I have a multitude of problems I want to address, but there's a lot less credibility when I can only speak from speculation and personal experience, both of which are different for everyone.

The community deserves to know about major changes to the server, and for the most part that's what we've gotten, but the staff are unusually silent about this latest and dramatic change to the guild warring formula. There might have been a bunch of other non-war related changes too, but how would I know!? I've been told to be patient for too long, and been given the "they're busy" excuse far too many times. There has to be ONE staff member who can take the time to write a single forum thread on this, like they've done with every other major guild update before this one.

    That is all.

This thread pretty much sums up some possible reasons why the devs and admins can't frequently update us on anything (just read pages 1 and 2). Yes, it is very frustrating. I too would appreciate some sort of dev blog. Developing a Minecraft server on this scale obviously isn't easy, accounting for buildings, cmds, code limitations, etc. Not to mention the CTs personal lives with school or work. I guess you have to just trust that they're gonna deliver something at some point. Nothing much else to say.

Fair points, but that thread is referring to the Lack of Content Updates, not Changelog or news that the community deserves to know about updates. There have been alot more updates the past like half year than back in 2017 when that thread was posted, so it's not really accurate of what's triggering me here. It doesn't take long to post news threads, as proven by the last handful of updates to the server. They were delivered almost immediately and for the most part were widely popular. While this latest guild update I've seen quite a bit of both support and critique, but it's been weeks without a report from the staff on the content of the update.

If the staff are too busy to give us one News post about an update 3+ weeks ago, yet have the time to plan a Double XP weekend AND revamp the server rules in the past two weeks, then that concerns me. Something seems off about this...

Hey, so I know it's frustrating to hear a "we are working on it" but that's exactly what we are doing but I also think it's frustrating to hear from the community a "Why was this feature that you announced removed" or a "why was this done differently" because projects usually change while they are under construction and every change in the game has to be thought, approved, tested and fixed. It's a long proccess but we are going to release new content and updates for you, if you want to say anything or ask anything feel free to tag/quote me.

I also want to add that the moderation team does not create ANYTHING on updates, the rules remake didn't affect anything or the double xp weekend.

@Pepinho I think you're misunderstanding this. I'm not concerned about new content, new updates, the time it takes to think out ideas and testing ideas. This latest guild update has been DONE, and live on the server for 3 weeks+, and to my knowledge no changes have been made since then. I'm annoyed about the lack of a News Post about it, while all these other updates the ones I mentioned were posted on the forums by a staff member same-day or within a few days. If an update is already in place, usually the staff here is good about putting it on the forums, the Wynncraft home page, and sometimes even their twitter feed, but this particular Guild Update has not been revealed to the public.

Please read through the post again, I think you missed my intent: Lack of a changelog on what's already upon us.

It'd be unfair if one wasn't released. Leaving people blind to what several, myself and multiple friends inlcuded, see as a system in need of many fixes. It's never too late to release a changelog of an update unless the update is revoked, and I don't see how that's happening. How could it happen, without any feedback to go off of? Where are the facts we could even base feedback off of without information from the staff who did the update anyways?

With all due repsect, if that's the reason the staff who applied the update are actually using, then it could perhaps mean they're hiding a change they're not proud of... I'd hope not, but how would we know?

jpresent and some GMs, namely @Selvut283 and @Ascended Kitten worked on new guild mobs. Is this the update you are talking about?

The one including huge screen-obscuring Guards with 130k Health and 80k HP healers with teleport spells? Most likely yes, that's the one. Not sure if any other changes were made along with those but I can't tell. I for one don't remember seeing anything in writing about a time limit for guild battles in prior updates.

The update was created in cooperation with most major guild leaders, and mobs were balanced according to feedback received, same applies to the new features added.
I am certain a log will be released in time when more features go live, so just stay patient for a bit longer!

Wait wait wait hold on. What?? Ugh, I just don't want to have to wait for "Soon@TM" to come along in 1-2 months to know what's happening. While those "major guild leaders" have knowledge of these changes and are making active discussion, the other like 98% of "non major" guilds on this server do not! Why can't you update the community along the way so we're not blind here and can give more open-ended feedback accessible by everyone, before these "features" pile up into an update so big that it's hard/unwilling to be changed?

Sorry, I find it really wrong that this wasn't either a Staff-only "cooperation" to start, or that we werent given an early change log OR a note in advance so "non major" guild leaders could have chipped in...
