I recently lost my Gaia and it got me thinking, is there a way to prevent these type of things?

I thought of this idea; memorize players' items. ex: I lost my Gaia, I go complain to a mod, they look at the records and get it
It will remember what you lost/what you got, if you make a trade it will say "+5 le, -1 Blue Mask" or something,
if you lose an item it will just say "-1 Gaia"

You may ask, "This will take to much memory or whatever"
I thought maybe only have this feature experienced players, if they have a lvl 100 and they applied for it or something along those lines. And they should only count players who were online in the past week(7 days) and everything before that be deleted for memory.
Also it should mention how it was lost, "(+5 le, -1 blue mask)Trade" or "(-1Gaia)Drop", "(+1Gaia)PickUp"

They should just get rid of the no refund policy.

But right now there is no way to check if items have actually been lost, it'll just turn into the Steam csgo situation 2.0

This would take a ton of effort and as you said, memory.
    Against the EULA.
    Define experienced.
What's the past week? The past week now? Or the past week a year from now? This one makes no sense.

I think the best way to handle this is fixing the bugs that make you lose items and item locks of course.

They shouldn't, I could just go up to any mod and say: Yo I lost my warp can I get it back? And if they say no because I have no proof, how would it work for people who actually lost something but have no proof for it. And what about proof that isn't solid, it's not hard to get an image of an item and photoshop it into your inventory. Without logs like these, you can't have solid proof. But the logs bring way too many problems with them. The best solution is just to keep the no refund policy and fix bugs.

Right now, they don’t even refund players with proof, though. Right?

I tried to edit in some of your points, also, I didn't lose my Gaia because of dropping it by accident, I lost it because the server crashed, and thats something wynn cant fix

They don't refund anybody. I'm 99% sure a ton of people would go through the effort of faking evidence simply because it's not hard, just get a picture of an item with the same skin in your inventory and put a different picture of item stats over it. Actually getting solid evicence is hard.
Yeah I understand, I don't know if they can fix that but they probably can't. If that's the case people should be informed about that.

Perhaps they could start off with only applying this concept for mythics and horses...

Maybe if it tracked specific types of items it could be less intensive. Maybe unreadable items, mythics and horses but even then there’d have to be some system in place to prove that it is in a hopper or something and not that they just sold it to someone or gave it to a friend / alt.

Couple things to add, firstly, I suggest the feature being available to everyone, but also allow the data to be accessible to everyone in a way via saving it to the public api. Thusly, you'd end up using less memory since people could access the api to get records whenever they want (or ask someone who knows how to get this stuff, but more than likely someone would make a site to do this for you before long), so then the data for the inventory changes would not have to be saved for as long.

I'm thinking perhaps save this data for three days, and then delete it from the database, which should keep it rather light on the usage, at least in terms of Wynn.

    Otherwise yeah, cool idea
