Will the other items that were meant to be obtained once per character be restricted like that too? Like double Raging Wing, double Giant's Ring, etc.

 

Update on the misconduct solo: it sucks and the bosses take so long my arm actually hurts from aiming so much.

We already discussed the topic of quest rings prior to the double hive announcement. In fact, I was the one who brought this up when we first were discussing the details of how Multi-Hive was gonna be fixed.

As you can probably tell, the answer is no.

I'll elaborate on the details of this decision.

The Qira Hive is a very special case. We are able to set up numerous and blatant warning signs in-game that tell players that they are unable to. Plus players have known about Multi-Hive being blatantly overpowered and unintended for a long time now.

By contrast, we can't just set up these warning signs for every quest with a ring reward. Nor have players been expecting this.

Additionally, most quest rings aren't blisteringly overpowered. And in the case of the few rings that are blisteringly overpowered, we can merely directly nerf them, seeing as how these quests aren't trying to reward skill in a single run nearly as much as The Qira Hive tries to.

Thus, you may rest assured that this will not happen to quest rings or the like.

^ this screenshot is from the Item ID Rounding Changes thread. Why can't you just do this instead like you did before? It seems like a better approach than straight up deleting people's items because they have a full inventory.

 

wut? that has already been implemented. No one's stuff is being deleted, hence the reason for the change actually.
