[class Idea] The Varangian

    ANOTHER ONE
    I came up with the idea of adding this class quite a long ago, but I was afraid that many people would not like it. Finally, I decided to share my idea with you and I really hope you will like it. If you have any suggestions on how to improve this class and/or make it more balanced, please, leave your suggestion(s) in the comments. For better experience, please, switch to the dark theme.

    THE VARANGIAN
    This class has battle axe as a weapon. Redesigned alternative class for VIP (VIP+) and higher would be Viking (or visa versa).


    STATS (may be too op, sorry)

    SPELLS
    SPELL 1: The Smash
    Varangian hits the ground with their axe and knocks back every mob nearby. Also the player will deal some damage to the enemies.
    • Level 1:
      • Mana cost: 5
      • Neutral damage: 20%
      • Blinds enemies for 3 seconds
    • Level 2:
      • Mana cost: 5
      • Neutral damage: 20%
      • Earth damage: 10%
      • Mobs are now knocked back further
    • Level 3:
      • Mana cost: 4
      • Neutral Damage: 25%
      • Earth Damage: 15%
      • Blinds enemies for 5 seconds
    SPELL 2: Toughness
    Varangian receives huge resistance bonus and stuns nearby enemies, so players can escape from big groups of enemies or any kind of enemies at all.
    • Level 1:
      • Mana cost: 6
      • Damage resistance: 70%
      • Resistance duration: ~6 seconds
      • Stun duration: ~3 seconds
    • Level 2:
      • Mana cost: 6
      • Damage resisatnce: 70%
      • Resistance duration: ~10 seconds
      • Stun duration: ~5 seconds
    • Level 3:
      • Mana cost: 5
      • Damage resistance: 80%
      • Resistance duration: ~10 seconds
      • Stun duration: ~5 seconds
      • Minor speed boost for ~5 seconds


    SPELL 2: War Jump
    Varangian jumps high up (~15 blocks) and then dashes forward (~15 blocks as well) into the direction you are currently looking. When lands, deals damage to all mobs within the 2 block radius.

    • Level 1:
      • Mana cost: 6
      • Neutral damage: 50%
      • No fall damage
    • Level 2:
      • Mana cost: 6
      • Neutral damage: 50%
      • Earth damage: 20%
      • Mobs, that were hit, will be damaged (~15%) once more.
    • Level 3:
      • Mana cost: 6
      • Neutral damage: 65%
      • Earth damage: 20%
      • Now it can be activated in mid-air
      • When landed, varangian will receive strength boost for a couple of seconds.
    SPELL 3: Throwing axe
    Varangian throws their axe in the direction they are looking (~5 blocks). Axe does big damage twice (when thrown towards the enemies and when it goes back), though varangians won't be able to move and to attack while that axe is in the air.

    • Level 1:
      • Mana cost: 7
      • Neutral damage: 180% (per hit)
      • Air damage: 80% (per hit)
    • Level 2:
      • Mana cost: 7
      • Neutral damage: 180% (per hit)
      • Air damage: 100% (per hit)
      • Resistance: 10%
    • Level 3:
      • Mana cost: 7
      • Neutral damage: 205% (per hit)
      • Air damage: 100% (per hit)
      • Resistance: 15%
    SPELL 4: Frenzy
    Varangian attacks every mob within a 5 block radius. Unlike the Spin Attack, this spell will attack nearby mobs ~4-5 times. Also, this spell gives another effects.

    • Level 1:
      • Mana cost: 8
      • Neutral damage: 50% per hit
      • Thunder damage: 25% per hit
    • Level 2:
      • Mana cost: 8
      • Neutral damage: 55% per hit
      • Thunder damage: 25% per hit
      • Minor strength boost for a minute
    • Level 3:
      • Mana cost: 8
      • Neutral damage: 60% per hit
      • Thunder damage: 30% per hit
      • +Attack tier
      • Damaged enemies receive "bleeding" (basically poison) for 3 seconds

    -Super op, every +attack tier raises the average damage by ~80% i'm pretty sure (might be a little lower) and people can abuse this by pairing it with slow weapons because they usually do more damage.
    -I don't think bleeding is a thing but basically poison right(?>>??)

    Also the name is too stand outish, which apparently is a big problem

    Yeah I get that, but I dont think they'll add an effect thats the exact same as poison but with a different name DX

    Every class has something for movement as the second spell. Yes, there is a minor speed boost on the third level of your second spell, but usually they focus on movement.

    So the problem right now with making new classes is that Wynn seems to be based off a four-class system. (Damage, defense, range, or spells)
    So now whenever people make a new class, they think they can balance it by putting +5 in two of the skills, and like +1 or +2 in the others. That isn't balanced.

    A balanced thing would be ~3s in all

    i had an idea of adding somthing for movement as the second spell, but it was basically warrior's charge spell

    lol, its a bit better
    can i just remind you that assassin is:
    5 damage
    4 defense
    1 range
    3 spell?

    also for the movement you could do a kind of "war jump" where it like leaps really high (no fall dmg) and travels forward maybe like 20 blocks (could be upgraded with the upgrades to the spell) and when it lands, it will do a radius damage of ~50%

    The second spell has to be a movement spell, if this is not the case everyone will complain the class has too little mobility just like what happened with assassin.

    One problem I have with this class is that it doesn't use Fire and Water damage in any of the spells.

    assasin doesn't have any fire damage in spells
    mage doesn't have any air damage in spells
    warrior doesn't have any water damage spells
    so... it isn't necessary to have all 5 elements in spells, is it?

    It's necessary to have four elements in spells, though. You can check the four classes for that. Your class only has three elements.
