A World For The Og Wynncraft

Iv'e played Wynncraft on and off since it started back years ago. So much has changed, for better and for worse. But sometimes I wish I could go back and play the original Wynncraft. I wish I could go back and see the old lobby, the VIP town, and just the old look of it. I'm sure many others who have played it since the beginning would like to revisit it, and for new-comers to see how it started out. I know this isn't easy, and would take lots of work, but if you get the chance could you make a server/world that's that old Wynncraft? Thanks :)

There are actually several reasons why this is never going to happen:


1. The original Wynn ran on a much older version of minecraft, and the plugins from those times were really messy and laggy. Bringing back the versions would essentially require a full remake of the entire code.

2. If people just played on the old servers, having updates on the modern Wynn wouldn't be worth the effort, which could result in the server dying out.

3. Many of the updates since the launch date of Wynn have had to happen due to changes made into minecraft's EULA. Bringing back old versions that included buyable advantages would result in the server getting blacklisted by Mojang.

4. An alternative way to having actual servers booted up would be a downloadable map, but it's quite obvious that we don't wan't people discovering stuff they were never supposed to see.

Why the fuck would you want to play on the old, ugly, slower, more boring, less content game version?!

 

This has been suggested multiple times, and can’t ever be implemented. Threads like these usually then devolve into a debate of whether old Wynn is better than new Wynn. While it’s perfectly fine to have one’s own opinion, it’s a bit of an insult to the CT to imply that the game hasn’t improved enough to play the latest version. No game is perfect by far, but this is an MMORPG; the whole premise is that the CT will add more content. If you don’t like certain features (like everyone does), then just suggest updates for those features.

Oh, I understand. I mean there are old videos and threads, but yeah, I gotcha if you want to do it for that reason.
