I liked that @T-Flex truly summarizes the problem in one sentence. Also, dropping items in minecraft has classically been bad for players. Ever rememeber dropping your diamond pickaxe into lava? or throwing your weapon in combat on accident. It happens, just like in minecraft. The problem is less of a wynncraft problem and more of a minecraft problem. The first way to solve the problem is obviously rebinding the drop key. Anyways...
My response to these types of threads:
Seriously, this is not the most pressing problem for the CT members to be worrying about. Horse breeding, afk farming, game balance, pvp, the economy, lack of end-game content beyond getting the perfect items possible and getting rich, there really are far too many topics that outweigh this one.

But yeah, I completely agree with you. I dropped a couple of items when I first start d playing, but rebound my drop key fairly quickly.

I have replied to every single person saying "Change your drop key". I want to point out that pressing my drop key was no accident. I purposely pressed it because I had to drop these shards into a hopper during a dungeon. However while being rushed I just so happened to be one slot off from the shards and pressed Q in a panic to put the shards in. Changing my drop key would not fix this solution as both times I lost my horse I purposely pressed my drop key, I was just rushed and threw in the wrong item.
I understand Wynncraft has a lot of bigger problems, I wasn't trying to say that this was the biggest problem and tbh some of these problems are based solely on your internet (The lag problems that is or try switching to version 1.8 as thats the best version to play wynncraft on). I personally don't have a big deal with the other problems as I just let them go because no server can be perfect. I was stating my opinion on the one thing that bothers ME.

Although item locking is a widely supported feature, do we really need it? Can't we spend more than half a second not throwing in an item by accident? You should always drop items by opening up your menu and either clicking the drop button there or by dragging it out and letting it drop. If you are trying to drop items mid-battle and want to do it in a hurry, you are just bypassing the game it was meant to be played by trying to evade killing enemies. I play on a mouse that has a broken scroll wheel were it might jump a slot or two if i scroll. Knowing this, I would never risk that game of chance to throw an item by accident. Just open your menu and you'll never drop an item by accident again.

I meant leg. Strangely enough, your way of saying it works too.

Was it really an opinion mate? Rant suits it better.
While those are similar by nature, the principle behind them is vastly different.
Opinions are based on logic. They have introduction, some sort of a logical follow up and conclusion indicating your stance on certain things or/and situations.
Rants are based on personal feelings, such as annoyances. You were annoyed you dropped your horse, hence your post. Otherwise, you'd make your post in "suggestions" section before the negative occurrence of you losing your horse.
And that's why my point still stands. You never had an intention of stating your opinion nor have you done it. You wanted to vent. It obviously bothers you, but that's not an opinion, at least not in the way you presented it.

#1 you didn't tag me and I said that
#2 don't drop unless you know exactly what it is. take the quick second to make sure you aren't throwing that horse, mythic, legendary, or generally valuable item into the hopper.
#3 Changing your drop key WOULD fix the problem because if you didn't hit "Q" you wouldn't have dropped it.
#4 If you hit "Q" and it was a miss-click, then that means it REALLY was your fault, cause no one can help you if you miss the item you were selecting. Again, taking a second to stop and look will help with your problem. Also @T-Flex and I must be on the same wavelength today cause you're is taking the words outta my mouth before I even read your posts. Lastly:
    If you wanted to make a real suggestion;
#1 You're in the wrong section
#2 You didn't put much thought into the post. And you haven't even used the search feature to see if others already made suggestions like this
#3 This is never going to be solely a wynncraft problem. the simplest solution is get gud but of course the odd miss-click happens to everyone and an item is lost. It happens, so taking time to look before dropping *even in a high stress dungeon scenario* can save your items. It's better to die and lose a few soul points or need to use a hp potion to recover HP from taking hits, than flash open your inventory and miss-click. Plus you could just have another player protect you while you are dropping. That should be a more common thing.
#4 Your feelings/emotions are a great start to a post, but this doesn't solve the problem and doesn't support your claim that the problem should be solved anyways. when suggesting or making a feedback post you typically want to also come up with some ways to fix the problem, rather than shutting out LITERALLY EVERYONE SAYING CHANGE YOUR DROP KEY. Not a great way to start a conversation.
@MrSanfrinsisco : Yea! Everyone who thinks I should change my drop key, you're wrong!
Us (99.99999% of wynncraft community): Okay bye! If you won't work with us to solve the problem, don't play!
    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
That is actually what you just did. GJ

Look man, I'm not tryna argue on the forums. I'm only human aight, I must have missed your post or you posted it after I made the reply. Secondly, number 4 and 5 are irrelevant cuz I stated in my reply that I PURPOSELY hit Q it wasn't a miss click. If I had set my drop key to Y like someone else has I would have pressed it either way and lost my horse either way. And I wasn't making a straightforward suggestion, I know where to post suggestions but it would never get implemented. This forum is to post Wynncrafty stuff aight? So thats what I did. Of course I didn't put much thought into my post, I'm not trying to impress anyone. I was posting my story. Not because I want to raise attention, but because I wanted to.

why would you drop your horse then complain on the forums that wynncraft is the problem when you self admitted that intentionally dropping the horse was the mistake.

I used to play on a Mac, which had a wireless mouse that was completely flat, and the entire surface of the mouse could be used as a scroll button. (It was super sensitive to boot)
That’s most likely the reason I lost 2 mythics and god-knows-how-many legendaries.

Just ditch the drop button has a whole, and have your hands pull the items out of your inventory instead.

@jpresent think about adding an item lock like this:
When players press Q (drop item event) cancel the event and display a red message to players "u can't drop items from hotbar" . And this item drop cancelling can be set on and off by creating a new command "/toggleitemdrop" that return a green message when active and a red message when inactive.
This idea could be a solution to some various loosing item problems.

That is actually 100% false. No where does the Wynncraft forum page say "Everything in here is to raise attention"

No, but if you are suggesting something, typically it is to spread awareness. You don't go out and tell everyone how bad something is then leave. You do it for a reason. Again, why would you drop your horse
into a hopper then write a forum post about it if not to get attention?! It doesn't make sense.
