    About two years ago, I made this Thread about sprinting taking up too much mana making the game very annoying (especially at the beginning, without horses and stuff...). Back then sprinting would take up mana, which got changed to a sprint bar later. You sprint for a little while before you need to regenerate your sprint bar. So why is this so frustrating? Here's why:
    • You can't see the sprint bar regenerate. It would already be a great improvement, if you could see how your sprint bar slowly refills, but unfortunately it get's covered by the coordinates when you stop sprinting.
    • You can't sprint very far. I think the sprint is very underpowered, when you think about how often you need to travel through the world. Sprinting should make the player more interested in exploring the world, but how it is now I rather use my teleport scrolls, than explore the world, because doing so is little fun without being able to sprint.
    • The sprint bar regenerates way too slow. I think this speaks for itself, the sprint bar should regenerate faster than it drains, so you can sprint more, than you have to walk slowly.
    • The sprint bar drains, even when not sprining. This is more of a bug, than a game design thing. The spring bar keeps draining when you sprint in water or on ladders, where you don't even get a speed increase.
    I hope my ideas help improving the game even more!

    4. You can just stop moving for a second and then continue. Not really a big deal tbh

    That’s why you use horses and spells. Sprinting isn’t meant for long distance travel.

    You focus on traversing the map, but sprinting is also used in combat (where you can't use horses, scrolls or other travel methods). Sprinting is very useful in Wynncraft combat. It helps you dodge attacks and allows you to get into advantageous positions to use your own attacks. This is currently limited in its usefulness by the sprint bar, to a good degree. You can use sprinting as a way to get a quick advantage, but you can't rely on it to dodge damage. This in turn makes the walk speed ID more useful outside of foot travel.
    This might get frustrating if you want to see coords and directions but the sprint bar stays in the way. Outside of displaying those elsewhere and making the GUI larger and clunkier, this just has to be a compromise.

    I understand this, but we are heroes fighting bosses and we can't even spring from one side to the other of detlas without having to rest for 1min to regenerate (sprintbar)....

    Use your escape spell; that’s what it’s for. You can sprint for about 10 seconds straight, which may not seem to be much but in boss bottles you don’t have to sprint the entire time.

    I wish putting skill points into a specific stat, like I dunno, Swiftness, would have an affect on sprint. Maybe every 5 points or something that go into swiftness can increase your sprint by like 1 second or something.

    I do agree with your point when I find that doing parkour with other class sometimes can be a pain...
    Just take the one in ice dungeon as example.. XD
    seriously, some of the part I have to sprint-jump but i keep failing
    And after i just try like 2-3 times repeatly
    The bar ran out, i have to afk for it to regen
    And repeat

    Archer Boi. You go faster than regular sprint when walking with Speed 3 (I'm pretty sure).
    ________________________________
    But it does get a bit annoying because speed doesn't affect horses and I've only got a black horse.

    you realize that if we didnt have the sprint bar that your mana would be gone in about 20 seconds maybe less, but in twenty seconds thats when our sprint bar stops and we can refill it without the cost of mana at all, and then you could use your movement spell(unless you're assassin) and then sprint and then use your movement spell and the cycle continues(also horses lmao)

    I don't know what you mean. You could easily configure when and how much the mana drains. My personal favorite solution would be removing the sprint bar completly and just letting us sprint the whole time. That would remove one thing players have to worry about, giving them more time to explore the world and to get emerged.

    you completely skipped the fact that the sprint bar removes the fact that we lose mana when running for a while, in the earlier versions in about 20 seconds while sprinting our mana bar would be completely drained, but with this update in twenty seconds only our sprint bar is drained and we can keep our mana

    No one sprints cross-country, hence sprinting is "SPRINTING" not jogging/run-walking. Also, horses solve this problem. Just get a black or chestnut horse. White horse is very pricey for the common player. Sprinting doesn't take long to recharge, and spells work well too. Also to respond to your "the sprint bar drains even when not sprinting" idea. This is not a wynncraft bug or error. If you ever played minecraft anywhere, you'd know that if you are sprinting and run into water, your stamina continues to deplete IF you don't stop sprinting. To fix this just press the backward key after letting go of the sprint button in water or on ladders. EDIT: alternatively, just stop moving for a quick second. This will stop consuming stamina/sprint bar energy. If you press the sprint button again while in water or on a ladder, that drains the sprint bar as well. The only thing I'd do to the sprint bar is increase the amount of sprint you have by just a little BECAUSE there are a few parkour puzzles that currently take EXACTLY 1 full sprint bar in its current state to complete (see undergrowth ruins). Removing the sprint bar would break the game. You NEED to have a limiting factor to stop people from completely evading enemies. Though the exploration of wynn can be slow, a horse or good ws can solve that problem.

    Whats standard ingame 2 mile time?
    Ok so sprint is 5.612 m/s
    d=rt
    3216=5.612t
    t=573.057733428 seconds
    t=9.55 minutes
    Ok i can run WAY faster than that

    You know what
    Maybe sprinting SHOULD be increased.
    That is pathetic
