Game Design Abysso Galoshes/sodeta Boots

im a level 66 rn and i was doing the lost soles quest and i had to give my abysso galoshes to do the quest, after the quest was done i was given the sodeta boots, i did not want this, it gave less health and it was just generally not what i was looking for in my build, if it's going to make you give boots to get other boots for the quest atleast make it so we can chose to the sodeta boots or abysso galoshes, its reallyyyy annoying personally and i would love to see a change for this, especially because if i want to get them back i have to start a new class and go all the way back up to the level for the beneath the depth quest, thank you for your consideration

Well, on the grounds of it having less health, the sodeta boots have much better health regen and lifesteal. that just means you have to go beat something up if you want health, or just sit tight in a hidy hole and it will come back. What sort of build are you using?

Because the sodeta boots are excellent for the level they are at and are very valued for their xp bonus and mana regen.

 

it just doesnt work for my build im tanky and i do a lot of dmg and i can actually move so im not statue, it fucks up my defense and takes away the few dexterity points i need to use my ohms wish, i dont normally have enough cus i am not focusing on dexterity

I get that, but I suppose that would require some coding (i'm no expert on that field and probably some time). The main problem i can raise with this is that is only one quest. However, I can counter that by saying it is probably the most out of date and under detailed quest and could get some work. However, i haven't done it post 1.17, so idk if its changed or not.

Mebbe it would be better to just wait till you are a higher level and the range of boots would be a lot higher. I wouldn't recommend starting a new class just to fix a build, that would just be a waste of the game, especially at your level. I also tried to see if there could be a substitute for the abysso galoshes at your level, but i was unsuccessful or didn't look hard enough. Use WynnData or the item guide if need be

 

i also looked for a replacement but couldnt find one with what i needed as abysso galoshes are the only boots with positive thunder and water raw defense, or atleast good positive water and thunder defense, most of my build kind of thrived off of that and the other attributes of it

 

Passus Lux has 120 in water and thunder defense raw + some defense % values.

I agree and not, first why are you trying to make a build at level 60ish,I'm sorry but that's stupid. Building Armour sets is for higher levels, And I wouldn't recommend wasting your time building a armour set at the low level of 60-70

 

once i started playing normally i actually started thinking about that stuff, before i was just running around doing random things

because it makes it easier to get to endgame if you have stuff that will actually help you instead of having negatives in all defenses and shit attack

 

No actually, seriously, you are wasting your time building at level 70 ish, all the bosses until level 80 or 90 ish are pretty easy except the Qira Hive bosses, which arn't very hard until the level 85-90 air stages, so stop building. At the earliest, level 80, ou don't need to take my edvice but I really do recommend, "stop building".

dude if he have the old endgame set then it would be much easier to advance.

However one thing. Sodeta is way better than abysso galoshes since it has mana regen and health regen. It also provides good spell damage which is considerable for a spell build.

 

it depends on what you think is better subjectively and what was better for your build
