So this quest is very, very long. You have to travel to Wynn, Gavel and back to Wynn and a whole bunch of exciting stuff. My suggestion is that you could start out at level 5 but you will die if you try to do only in level 5. (Plus, it may be impossible for you to go to all of these places.) You can name these NPCs along the way. If this does become official. (Also with some tweaking here and there.) I will be grateful but I just wanted to post this for fun. Enjoy this adventure.

It starts off with you talking to the king again. He talks about you needing to find a monster that had erupted out of the roots of corruption. He then sends you off to a certain house in Maltic. You find a NPC who tells you to investigate the Roots of Corruption. Once you get back to him, he tells you to go steal something from Detlas. It can be really anything. Maybe an old rune from a house that's aged or use a current house. Once you come back to him, he tells you he needs the King's Scepter. You have to go to Ragni and sneak down into the basement of valuable treasures. You have to kill some guards defending it, and once you grab it you head back to him. He tells you that the player helped alot but they don't know what for. He then disappears in thin air. Once you keep going, you meet the same NPC at Almuj. He tells you that the Commander Amerigo should hand over the Takan's Badge. You proceed to say no along side Commander Amerigo. The NPC once again gets infuriated and disappears. Once he disappears, it says in the text, "You feel a weird buzzing sound in your ears. It only grows louder and more distorted." Once you leave Almuj, you can no longer find him in Wynn. But once you travel to Llevigar, Gavel. You can see him near the statue. You can walk over to him and he again disappears. The quest book then tells you to talk to a man near the bank. Once you arrive, he tells you that he saw that man with a radiating aura. Something dark and twisted. He tells you to go back to the Roots of Corruption. Once you go back there, you see a small cut scene of when he exits the portal. He seems to change into a dark, mysterious force. He then looks at the player's POV and then proceeds to jump scare them. You then black out and there is some dialogue that plays. You have to go search in Troms for an old man who's travelled across all of Wynn, Gavel, and Corkus. (<< that was very unnecessary) He tells you that this being is too dangerous for you to handle but you tell him that it's too late to turn back. He then responds understandingly. He tells you that you need to search near Ozoth's Spire. After some exploring, you can find him and he tells you that you should've helped him. He tells you to meet him at the highest point of Corkus. Once you go there, he then proceeds to glare at you with his eyes. You black out once more. When you wake up, you're in a small room with him. Then the boss battle starts. I don't know what happens next cause I'm too lazy to write it out.

And that's basically the quest. That's it.

this is like the most fethcy quest where you don't fetch anything
    honestly
having to go back and forth is the MOST OBNOXIOUS THING ever
    you ever done ToL?
    this would be 80x longer

also, it would be extremely difficult to code a certain NPC to speak for 2 different quest dialogues

    Quest: The Long Journey
    Required Level 8
    Difficulty: Very Hard

Stage 1: Talk to The Ragni King
[1/5] Ragni King: Hello Adventurer! Glad to see your doing well!
[2/5] Ragni King: The guardsmen tell me your doing well, and since most of our troops are busy nowadays defending the corruption, I need to ask a favor of you
[3/5] Ragni King: Do you know about the roots of corruption? It's where the corruption originally started, there are some vague rumors of a large beast that has emerged from the portal
[4/5] Ragni King: There hasn't been a case like this in years! All the scouts we have sent have not returned, Your one of the only people I can spare to investigate
[5/5] Ragni King: Theres a scholar in Maltic who might know more about this, I urge you to seek him out and help us!

Stage 2: Head to Maltic and find the scholar
[1/4] Scholar: Greetings adventurer, what brings you to this humble town?
[2/4] Scholar: Ah. The king sent you? Hmm... A monster emerging from the portal... odd.
[3/4] Scholar: I have a hunch of whats going on but I won't know for sure unless you investigate the site
[4/4] Scholar: Can you please head to the roots of corruption and investigate?

Stage 3: Head to the roots of corruption and investigate
In this stage of the quest once you head to the roots of corruption, near the portal entrance there will be like a cave or something, Pre quest it will say something like Some dark force dissuades you from entering, once you start the quest and go in you can find some like dark powder or something
Stage 4: Return to the Scholar with your findings
[1/3] Scholar: Aha! Just as I suspected, it seems that one of the miners has managed to get back out
[2/3] Scholar: This will be no easy thing to kill, if were going to have any chance at defeating it we need to prepare
[3/3] Scholar: Head to Detlas, there should be a Old rune inside one of the houses, I doubt the family would part easily with it, but we need it!

Stage 5: Head to Detlas and search for the ancient Rune
This stage would be a puzzle stage, you would search each house in Detlas and once you find the one you need to crack the safe combo in some puzzle minigame

[1/3] Scholar: You got the rune? Fantastic!
[2/3] Scholar: Next were going to need someway to activate it... hmm...
[3/3] Scholar: Ah yes! The king Scepter should do, your going to need to kindly ask the King of Ragni for his scepter

Stage 5: Head to Ragni and obtain the King Scepter
[1/5] Ragni King: Hello Adventurer! Back so soon?
[2/5] Ragni King: What?! You want my scepter? I'm afraid I cant simply just give it to some random adventurer! Even one that I hired.

[3/5] Ragni King: There must be some alternative!
It seems the king won't part easily with it, there must be some way to obtain it...
Cutscene happens where you bonk the king on his head and take the scepter
Gaurds begin immediately turning hostile and attack you

[1/3] Captain of the Guard: The adventurer attacked the king! Seize him!
    [2/3] Gaurd: Yes sir!
[3/3] Gaurd: Take down that scum!

Stage 5: Defeat the guards and head back to the scholar
[1/2] Scholar: Ahh.. Thank you so much for your help adventurer
[2/2] Scholar: You've made my job much much easier!

The scholar dissapears in a flash of light, leaving only a pile of sand behind
Stage 6: Find where the scholar has gone
Since there is sand the Scholar has gone to Almuj obviously.

[1/2] Scholar: Oh! Its the adventurer! It must be fate that we meet again!
[2/2] Scholar: You need to help me Convince Amerigo to hand over Takan's badge
[3/3] Scholar: This stubborn mule wont hand it over!
    [4/4] Scholar: Please help me!
[1/2] Commander Amerigo: There is no reason I should hand it over to some random SCHOLAR,
    [2/2] Commander Amerigo: Now begone!
[1/1] Scholar: What?! Your just going to let him leave adventurer? What do you mean why do I need the badge!?!?!? CANT YOU FOLLOW ORDERS YOU BUFFOON

You feel a odd buzzing sensation in your ears, it's getting louder and more distorted, its starting to become unbearable!
The player blacks out with blindness effect and finds the scholar gone, and the room a mess, with a bunch of quartz and emeralds scattered everywhere.

[1/2] Commander Amerigo: Who is that man- no that thing! Adventurer?
[2/2] Commander Amerigo: You don't know? You must find him! That is some dark beast, he is clearly not human! Now how in the world did all of this quartz get here?!

Stage 7: Find where the scholar has gone
Due to the Quartz and Emeralds he is obviously in Gavel, you can find traces of him once you enter Llevigar, talking to the man near the bank will yield some results

[1/2] Citizen: Have I seen an odd dark-fiendish man? Hmm.. Why yes! I believe so!
[2/2] Citizen: He had a dark aura around him, and I believe I saw him open a portal to some spiky burning area!

Stage 8: Find where the scholar has gone
He has obviously gone to the roots of corruption since the burnt and spikes suggest that obviously
Heading to the roots will trigger a cutscene when in this quest, the player will get jumpscared by the scholar and black out when they get close to the spot where they first found traces of the beast.

At this point Quest maker, I am not finishing the rest, I have done a large portion and I feel you can do the rest if you are invested enough in this
I only spent like 30 min on the top part, a 20 min session should finish it

    Pre- Revisal Rating:
    2/10

    + Interesting idea
+ Some bare semblance of plot
+ No major lore breaking things

    - No clear progression
    - No enemy stats
    - The whole quest is fetchy
    - Very little combat / puzzle
    - Quest is very long
    - Quest requires major lore revisions
    - Quest is very badly organized
    - Quest is very repetitive
    - Quest requires lots of coding
    - Quest requires reusing current locations in odd ways and some parts that dont make sense
    - More other things
    - HUGEEE level jumps making it difficult to do

    @OneMadWaffle
Also everyone else, give CONSTRUCTIVE critiscism, yes the quest needs lots of work but it could be interesting, give ideas and ways to fix it and make it better.

I do agree that constructive criticism is nice, but this quest has way too many problems to become fixed. At this point it needs to be scrapped and redone from square one. You can only change so much when something doesn't have a purpose. The quest isn't even finished.

So basically a main storyline (at least, I assume that's what it is. I can't read that WoT). If so, it's already being worked on afaak. But it will presumably be a bunch of main lore based quests that link up quite explicitly and obviously, like Wynnexcavation, and you have to do them in order. All the other quests (with a few exceptions, I think) are basically just the equivalent of side quests from other RPGs.

If my assumption was wrong, can someone explain what the quest actually is? I dot want to read it.

i mean having one NPC activate for two different quests
i.e. having the NPC Kelight (ToL) do the ToL quest talking. AND THEN, the EXACT SAME NPC, in the same coords and everything, will activate a different quest (not ToL)

like for this guy's example, you talk to the king of ragni, which you talk to in King's Recruit (or if he didn't want that one, the one from Wynn D)
but then the player also talks to him in a new quest

idk maybe im just stupid but i feel it would be difficult for one NPC to activate 2 separate quest dialogues

yeah but in part I, you talk to him at a different location, like outside the diner then in the middle of corkus city
in part II, you talk to him in his house then all around the lovely countryside of mech world rule
so for that questline, couldn't it just be coded so when you talked to him in one place it had different dialogue then in a different place?
