    Hey!

I just started playing WynnCraft again and this time I want to play all quest together with a friend. We already played a good amount of the (reworked) quests and noticed that quests often don't work well in multiplayer:

    • Cutscenes are not enjoyable at all with multiple player, because players get teleported in a barrier box in which they can't move and only see the body of the other player and not the well crafted cutscenes, which is a shame. The easiest solution would be, to hide the players for each other (plugin-side solution) or give the players some space to move in the barrier box (world-side solution).
    • Bosses are sometimes (especially in the early-game) so weak that one of the players can kill him with few hits, while the other can't hit him once in time, leading to only on player receiving the needed boss drop and the other waiting for the boss to respawn. This issue is not easy to fix, my approach would be to design something like boss areas, where all players receive the boss reward, when he is defeated.

This are the points I noticed so far, if I find more during the playthrough I will add it to the list.
I hope this helps improving the game even more!

100% agreed, I remember someone (@Ascended Kitten I think) saying they fixed cutscenes in 1.17! I was kinda hyped, but in the end, nothing changed D:

Quite a few people have brought up the thing with the cutscenes, I seem to remember it being said that it would be sorted soontm. The second idea wouldn't work. You would literally just have to stand in, idk, the Reincarnation boss room while a couple of level 100s destroyed Bob to finish the quest. Atm it's 15% of the damage has to be dealt to get the drops.

I remember cutscenes making you invisible at some point, but maybe I'm misremembering. In any case, the weak boss solution can be solved by just /class-ing to respawn the boss, unless that doesn't work anymore

Tried this with different bosses and it didn't really work, also this isn't a great solution game design wise.
Yeah, I thought that it could be exploited easily, that's why I wrote it's hard to fix. Maybe the low level bosses are too easy? I don't know...

I admit I indeed did state that, yet it wasn't quite fully functional at that point.
However, for the next patch it looks like the cutscene issue might finally be resolved!
That includes the invisibility (aka. other players covering your view) and the tp issue, as we no longer have to rely on command blocks for those now.

I mean they are designed for beginners right? ._. Obviously you wouldnt find the orangel wybel (level 10) around detlas. The bosses are easy because its supposed to be beginner friendly i guess. This means ofc that ppl who know the game already have an exceedingly easy time.
