Item Rarity

How about making an item of certain rarity show some particles when dropped? (You know, like in several other RPGs)

 

Or just have a highlighted outline (You know, like several mods)

 

Don’t tell people to use mods as the only solution; some people can’t have them

 

For me, it is the main feature of wynn mods to show when legendaries and mythics drop. It makes grinding feel much better, knowing that you have not missed a mythic. I think it could be a great addition in the main game.

If your PC can't handle a small mod like expansion with optifine, It likely can't play wynn properly at all.

 

The problem is unlike texture packs, I don't think you can connect a mod to a server, so people would need to download the mod independently of the server, which will likely shut out a lot of people frim playing the game

 

No, i used to have a computer that ran wynn fine, but i wasn't able to install the mod.

It wasn't my computer speed, it was the fact that when i tried to install forge the window wouldn't open

 

I thought about doing this, but with 1 trick: Mythics would have the same effect as normals.
This would make Mythics a lot more rare, are would delay the death of Wynn's economy.

 

It's because you didn't dedicate enough ram to it. By default it's 1GB. My computer can run Wynncraft with extreme shaders 16 render and the mod on with solid 90FPS, because I set it to 3Gs

 

If it is possible to make it into the game, I would definitevely LOVE it to be put.
However, I think it cannot, wich is sad, but just know that some mods can do that, but if you don't have a good enough PC or get unfair advantage compared to other grinders, you have to stick with just looking through every item that dropped.

 

False, i almost have all of my settings set to the lowest just to play wynn,

I hate it when it comes to these people that thinks that everyone has the same amount of something they both own,
its like telling someone to "Buy this with this" or "Do this cuz i can do that with this" even though they cant because they are insufficient with even a small space

 

I think you guys misunderstood what I meant when I said this.

I meant JP modifies the wynncraft plugin to add the functionality that causes a unique, rare, legendary or mythic to glow, using the vanilla minecraft glowing effect. As it is already incorporated into the minecraft, and does not require extra entities or particles, it would not cause lower performance computers to lag more than they currently do.

 

So um.. u guys like the idea?

 

Ya it's a new take on item drop identifiers!

Idea: 91% It's actually a new original way to set this up, I'm actually surprised no one's thought of it this way.

Thread: 81% There wasn't really much you could do with this but it's still a little underwhelming.

It is a tag that can be put on any entity. Dropped items are entities.

I don't know why you tagged all of us, as I have already clarified, I was not suggesting the use of mods, but implementation of a vanilla feature into wynncraft. Everyone else just started a discussion off the misinterpretation of that.

I support this, having light aqua or purple particles around a dropped item would be substantially useful.
