Assassin/Ninja Help "cataclysm Is Bad"

You made a thread, and in that thread, you said cata was balanced!?
That's called being biased.

Even before the updated dropped, your comments clearly display the fact you knew it was incredibly likely for cata to be nerfed "into oblivion".
Once again, it was your decision to get cata knowing there are high chances of cata getting nerfed.

 

why wouldnt I make thoes posts, everyone knew that it was getting nerfed and there was no way of stopping it

Cataclysm is the highest damaging weapon in the entire game. It's far from bad. It's base damage is higher than all mythic dagger's except grimtrap while being multiple attack tiers faster.

Stop comparing it to what you could have gotten. That number is game breaking and should have never existed. Period. Cataclysm is allowed to have higher damage than any other weapon in the game.. but more than double? That hardly seems balanced.

You knew it was overpowered. You knew it was bound to be nerfed. If you didn't want the overpowered item you owned to be balanced then you could have easily sold it.

Hm, that doesn't seem quite true. You acknowledged that it was overpowered elsewhere. It was far from balanced. The amount of damage old cataclysm dealt should not be in this game with the type of builds was used with (>10k health, >6/4s mana regen).

Cataclysm was overpowered and we all knew it. It's still the purest form of damage in the game, even before the buff we just gave it.

 

so mythics are not meant to be over powered so that makes them just a bit better than a lgendary

 

They're not meant to be game breaking like pre-nerf cataclysm was. That's not coming back.

Yea, I tried giving burn better builds with his cata but he wasn't listening to me ;). I agree that cata was OP pre nerf. The buff it since received was interesting I guess.

you should value hp and defenses over damage because theres no point in trying to get more damage when your that weak, even then its only 20k spins

 

Look at the build I gave in the quote. Should suffice to say that Cata doesn't much of a damage buff, if any.
