    The Deciever/Trickster

    Lore - "One's greatest weapon is their mind -- break that and they fall"
    Retiring from your classic mage ways, you have decided to tinker into the forbidden dark magics.
    As the deceiver, you can create illusions that not only affect the environment, but anyone who stands against you or your allies.​

    Class - Deceiver
    -Unlock at Mage level 45
    -VIP+ Variant - Trickster
    -Chat Tag - [De/X], [Tr/X]
    -General info
    -Close to mid-range fighter that creates illusions to sneak on their enemy
    -High damage output makes up for low defense and health
    -Best used in duels or against highly packed groups
    -All attacks inflict lifesteal, based off of bonus from gear such as armor, rings, etc.​
    Main Elements: Thunder/Air

    Red text is optional, meaning it is up to the developers to add it(if they add the class)
    Pink text is debatable by comments + devs


    Base Stats
    -Damage 5/5
    -Deals increased damage against single targets​
    -Defense 1/5
    -As the deceiver specializes in damage, there was no time to train in endurance​
    -Range 3/5
    -While most spells are ranged, most damage is dealt up close and personal​
    -Spells 4/5
    -To get close to enemies to deal required damage, it is recommended to use your spells
    to cloak yourself and confuse the enemy
    Standard attack - Stab
    -Weapon item - Dagger(Same as assassins)
    (Stab) Left click to inflict a melee attack that deals 80% Weapon damage, plus 20% spell damage multiplier. Hits enemies in a 45 degree area in front of the player, at normal attack range.​
    -How it looks/Sounds

    -Enchanting table particles + Enderman particles
    -Sounds like lava turning to cobblestone(from vanilla mc)​

    -Illusion - Utility {Unlocked at level 1}
    The deceiver creates visions around the enemy, confusing it and enemies around it

    -Area of effect - 5 blocks around cursor
    Effect: Enemy loses aggro/wanders
    -Range - Maximum aggro range of enemies in the wild

    -Player hits immortal player[Extended length, 3x normal](like hitting someone in creative)​
    Grade II +Hallucination
    -Mana Cost - 7
    -Enemy confused for +0.5 seconds​
    Grade III +Swift Feet
    -Mana Cost - 7
    -User gains Speed II upon cast for 2 minutes, confuse duration increased +0.5 seconds
    -Backstab - Offensive {Unlocked at level 11}
    The deceiver vanishes, then reappears with a dagger through the enemy's back

    -Damage: 70% Melee + 40% Spell
    -Hits: 1
    -Damage Type: Neutral/Thunder/Air (70% Neutral, 20% Thunder, 20% Air)
    -Teleports the user behind the target, turning the user 180 degrees, or facing the target

    -Enchanting table particles + enderman particles
    -Shearing sheep + hitting a creeper​
    Grade II +Fatal Blow {Unlocked at level 26}
    -Mana Cost: 7
    -Damage: 90% Melee + 55% Spell
    -Damage Type: Neutral/Thunder/Air (90% Melee, 30% Thunder, 25% Air)
    -Enemy bleeds(poisoned) for 5% of its maximum health for 4 seconds​
    Grade III +Brutality {Unlocked at level 46}
    -Mana Cost: 7
    -Damage: 90% Melee + 55% Spell
    -Damage Type: Neutral/Thunder/Air (90% Neutral, 30% Thunder, 25% Air)
    -Now hits up to 3 enemies, and makes the user immortal for 0.5 second(s)
    -Mind Drain - Offensive/Ranged/Heal {Unlocked at level 21}
    The deceiver eats at the enemy's mind, draining their health

    -Damage: 10% Spell Damage/hit
    -Heals the player for 5% Spell damage per hit, on hit
    -Hits: 10, fast speed (Cancels if the user is hit)

    -Victim gets Slowness IV for 4 seconds​

    -Enchanting table particles flow from the victim to the caster

    Grade II +Mind lock (Unlocked at level 36)

    -Damage: 10% Spell Damage/Hit
    -Heals the player for 5% Spell Damage per hit, on hit
    -Hits: 12, fast speed (Cancels when user is hit)
    -Damage Type: Thunder/Air (6% Thunder, 4% Air)
    -Stuns enemies for 2 Seconds, disabling the enemy's movement and attacks​
    Grade III +Addiction (Unlocked at level 56)
    -Mana Cost - 5
    -Damage: Increased to 15% Spell Damage
    -Now heals the player for 10% Spell Damage per hit, on hit
    -Hits: 10, fast speed (Cancels when user is hit)
    -Damage Type: Thunder/Air (10% Thunder, 5% Air)
    -Damage and healing increases by 2% for every successful hit
    -Insanity - Offensive/Self-harm/Utility {Unlocked at level 31}
    Dark magic has its price, but the toll is always greater on the enemy.

    -Mana Cost: 10
    -Damage Dealt: 250% Spell to enemy, takes 1/3 of user's current HP
    -Damage Type: Neutral/Thunder/Air (150% Neutral, 50% Thunder, 50% Air)
    -Special: Influence
    -(2x to enemies 5 or more levels lower than user, 1x to equal level, 2/3x to enemies 5 or more levels higher than user)
    -How it looks/Sounds
    -Enderman particles on enemy, Ender Dragon breath particles on caster
    -Enderdragon death sound, Wither idle sound​
    Grade II +Dark Descent {Unlocked at level 46}
    -Mana Cost: 10
    -Damage: 250% Spell, now takes 1/4 of user's current HP
    -Damage Type: Neutral/Thunder/Air (150% Neutral, 50% Thunder, 50% Air)
    -Now deals 10% spell damage as poison to the victim every second for 3 seconds​
    Grade III +Shadow's Whisper {Unlocked at level 66}
    -Mana Cost: 10
    -Damage: 250% Spell, now takes 1/5 of the user's current hp
    -Damage Type: Neutral (250% Neutral)
    -User gains the shadow's blessing, granting them Strength II for 2 minutes and Speed II for 3 minutes
    Edits:
    1: -Swapped backstab and mind drain
    -Changed mind drain stun to 0.5s
    -More detail into confusion<enemy loses aggro and wanders>
    -Changed Insanity cost from half of user's max Hp to 1/3, 1/4, and 1/5 current hp
    -Basic attack now adds up to 100%, from 130%
    -Mind drain no longer changes stats, now debuffs target
    -Detail into backstab movement added
    -Standard attack miss "example" added I don't know what exactly I should call it ;-;
    2: -Re-added healing to Mind Drain spell
    -Detail for lifesteal added, to explain how it works
    -Confusion increase for illusion spell grades 2 and 3 lowered to +0.5 each
    -Speed buff for illusion grade 3 upon cast

    3: -Removed lifesteal from general description

    - Stuns made more clear

    i can't manage to slog through this whole thing so i'm just going to tell you that your second spell needs to be a movement spell, which it isn't

    To my knowledge, no other basic attacks have hit or miss varients. I like the concept, but it doesn't fit. And why does the melee attack not just do 100% weapon damage? I mean, it's your basic attack...

    Define what "confused" actually means

    Any spell that changes your stats doesn't quite fit, and I don't think enemy mobs have stats...


    Making the user immortal for 2 seconds is hella OP

    Also, for the thing, define what exactly happens? Does the user turn invisible (and for how long), teleport behind target entity, and get turned around 180 degrees or something? It's unclear.

    I was gonna say how any self-harm spells would't really fit, but then I actually read it. HOLY SH*T 50% of the user's max hp? WTF? No way, that's insane harm. And, users cant use it below half health. Just... NO

    Conclusion:

    I thought I would dislike the concept, but I rather like it. Just... the machanics are all wack.

    Also, I like the dagger idea (You can always tell how powerful a mage is but their focus. Only the weak ones use staffs or wands) but do you mean it's the same items as assassins?

    Thank you for the feedback, I will change the stats accordingly. However, that will take a while, because finals... Hopefully I can finish within the 7 hours I am there.
    As for standard attacks, the blade does part spell damage as if the deciever cursed it.

    Before I grade this later tomorrow, I would like to say that this Class has to be available to everyone. It cannot have VIP+ only according to EULA rules. From skimming this, it is not a reskinned class.

    I am glad you have looked at my suggestion, and I would like to say that I also wish for this class to be available to everyone. However I would also like the requirement to use the class as having a level 45-50 mage in your character selection screen, to fit with the lore.

    You read it incorrectly, I believe. The requirement is a level 45 mage class, and I believe non-VIPs have the ability to play multiple classes, so this IS possible for non-VIPs. The only VIP part is, of course, the reskin.

    Stats, please? 1/4? 2/4?

    Thunder is typically used for darkness stuff, but the mix works too

    Better, but why does the player gain speed? Is there a reason? And does the spell apply on cast, or only upon hit? I'm assuming upon cast, just wanted to clarify. Overall, looks better.

    Half a second for the immortality is much more balanced, and the detailed description is better.

    Much better. Two complaints. Firstly, what defines stun? Is it like ice snake where they can't move? Or what? Secondly, you seem to have removed the healing part (which actually was a nice touch) yet still mention the healing in Grade 3?


    Much better. I still am not completly sold in the idea of self-harm, but the amount lowering as you level is nice. And it being CURRENT hp and not MAXIMUM hp makes a big difference.

    For lifesteal, and thanks for pointing that out, that will be described as lifesteal bonus from gear.
    The player gains speed when using illusion so they can take advantage of the time that they have, applying upon cast.
    To define stun, the enemy cannot move or attack, as if they are in a daze or unable to attack. I may have removed the healing part by accident, I will add that in the edits.
    If the amount of hp lost is too much, some suggestions for numbers would be nice.

    I will make it clear how stun works, and remove the lifesteal feature from the general description. Adding you to the title as a shoutout, you have been more of a help to this class than I would have imagined!
