Hello, I figured I should be the one to mention this, since I was the one most adamant about the change and was the one who pushed for it.

-Item rounding has been changed to accurate rounding
-If your inventory is full, items that you do not have the skill requirements to use will remain equipped until space is made. You will be constantly notified of the skill discrepancy until the item is unequipped. The items will not give you their stats and IDs, either.

    2017-11-27_13.39.05.png
These messages will appear every few seconds that you wear an item that you gain no effects from.

Now, the main issue here is that first point, and some explanation is due. We're probably all aware of items such as Concentration or Chestplate of Ineptitude that give Mana Regen and other effects. These can roll up to a 2, despite normal rounding conventions. Similarly, items such as Galleon with a -1 can round to nothing. Why is that?

    The system worked as such:

For POSITIVE IDENTIFICATIONS: Multiply base value by .3-1.3x, round number up
So, for instance, an ID of 15, if you rolled a 1.1, would become 16.5, which would round up to a value of 17.
The issue here is it always rounded up, meaning situations such as
    1*1.01=1.01, round to 2
were possible, making certain items extremely powerful, much more than they had the right to be.

For NEGATIVE IDENTIFICATIONS: Multiply base value by 0.7-1.3x, round number down
So, for instance, an ID of 15, if you rolled a 1.1, would become 16.5, which would round DOWN to a value of 16.
The issue here is that there was no minimum value, meaning situations such as
    1*0.99=0.99, round to 0
were possible, making certain items and effects completely null, buffing the item by proxy.

We're all aware of how a +1 tier Chestplate of Ineptitude was considered so weak compared to a +2 tier, or how a -1 tier Galleon was useless compared to a 0 tier. This was unintentional and should not have happened.

    The new system:

For POSITIVE IDENTIFICATIONS: Multiply base value by .3-1.3x, round number as necessary. If value is less than 1, round to 1
So, for instance, an ID of 11, if you rolled a 1.3, would become 14.3, which would round DOWN to a value of 14. Before, this would be a 15.

For NEGATIVE IDENTIFICATIONS: Multiply base value by 0.7-1.3x, round number as necessary. If value is less than 1, round to 1
So for instance, an ID of 1, if you rolled a 0.7, would become 0.7, which would round UP to a value of 1. Before, this ID wouldn't appear on the item.

This means that not only will certain IDs on items change to reflect the new rounding changes, identifications that did not appear previously such as the -1 tier on Galleon WILL APPEAR. This does not extend to only new Galleons, either. The ID is still on current items, it's just too low to appear visually. But with these changes, the item will now be affected with its -1.

    Some examples:

    newtopaz.png
Before, Morph-Topaz could obtain +2 in its skill points if you got an above-average roll.
    newconcentration.png
Before, Concentration could obtain +2 mana regen with an above-average roll.
    newgalleon.png
Before, Galleon could be found without an Attack Speed penalty.

While the new changes regarding item de-equipping should prevent item loss, please note that depending on the items you use, your builds may break, especially if they are heavily dependent on skill point boosts! Hopefully this will greatly aid the balance of the game overall and help the economy as various items will no longer be seen as valueless. A timeframe for this update was not given, so I wanted to give as much warning as possible regarding this. JP will post an announcement when this goes live.

I'll edit again just to make this clear: ALL wynncraft items have been nerfed with this change, the items listed above and in the .txt are just the items who's best IDs are nerfed:
    example:

before stratiformis max walkspeed was 91 and you were able to get 91ws with both a roll of 129 and 130, with the new system only a roll of 130 will give you 91ws, a roll of 129 will transform into a 90ws strati, stratiformis walkspeed is not listed in the list or .txt above becase in overall is still possible to get a 91ws strati. The list above contains items like boreal were before the max mana possible was 2/4, now the max is 1/4.

I did some calculations on this, basically most* non-fixed stat items would lose on average 0.5 units on every ID. Meaning most of the numbers for id’s will have a 50% chance to be 1 less.

*Depending on the Base Value of an ID you may have no chance for a change(a base being a multiple of 100), and the current maxes and mins of many ID's may not be obtainable after this change.
