Filter

Hello, so an idea of an item filter popped into my head today. I'm sure its been suggested multiple times before, but it would be helpful to have an item filter to filter out, lets say emeralds. It would help sort through inventories much easier while grinding, and just a nice feature. Thank you for considering this suggestion, it's really a simple one and not much to in depth about.

 

the idea is simple but actually implementing it sounds like it would take quite a bit of coding :/

It doesn't really need more detail though, it's not such a wild concept.
Unless you have the comprehension of a preschooler, item filters are self explanatory.

That said, suggested before, definitely hard to code, possibly impossible with minecraft plugins.

 

Item Filters can be more complex than thought to be simple. Simply on how it is done and how it will work. Just slapping Item Filter on something and not saying on how we can do this, goes very little into detail. If there is enough detail, please provide on how you will activate the Item Filter and where it will be located and how you will filter your items. Just from this idea alone.

But yes, this will be pretty difficult to code as in order to not pick up the items you don't want, you would have to have an inventory just for every item that is not that item. If it bugs out, that would be pretty bad. Especially with some plug ins. Depending on what Wynn is doing with code refactor, this can be possible or not, but in guessing terms, most likely not.

 

So pretty much you want him to make the GUI for it?

 

A simple of where it could be found is good enough. That is over the top and great, but a bit more detail on how will be more appreciated. So pretty much, directions of where and how. You don't always need pictures or such, but it makes things easier to follow.

 

honestly tho, chances are, even if he did, the team would probably already have a different idea than his and it wouldnt be implemented anyway
like for more complicated stuff maybe but tbh i think its not rly necessary for this kinda stuff :/

 

Well it is still worth a shot in my opinion. Just because your suggestion MAY not be added. It is still good to show your creativity and exploration, it shows how your ideas can flourish into something more. I think it is best to show real hard work rather than just giving up. Your idea may not be added, but you may have grabbed the attention of others. This way the next thing you post, people will listen in further. Wynncraft is an expanding MMORPG Minecraft server that every now and then, may just want some criticism from the players and may need some suggestions on what to do next. They may not always have the ideas of what to do.

Also it can be an easier way for you to get into the CT if you have made things that truly stand out or something of the sort. Dunno, never really applied to that.

Also, it has already been suggested before, in a way more complete way, where the person was talking about filtering only legendaries and mythics because most people don't care about uniques/rares and emeralds just fill your inventory so quick that they become annoying

I think he means he likes that you put "offensive" in quotes, but was a little extra (substitute extra with hyperbolic [extra was slang for "too far" or "over the top" ] ) in their comment.

 

I think he means that because I put "offensive" like that he likes me, and I understood like half of the words you said and i'm too lazy to google what's left
