well techinically i was the one who activated the glitch, but the fact that the glitch itself exists is the server's fault
    ________________________________
tru u honestly should keep ur inventory clear, but the amount of people on this server with hoarding problems is pretty crazy
anyway tho, you shouldnt always have to have 8 slots in ur inventory empty because of some glitch and you cant just say oh its ur own fault ur inventory is disorganized because it shouldnt have to always be super clean and empty

Just make hive items replacement shop where you can replace an item for another item at master merchant. That would fix it.

Wow. Please keep the salt out of this thread, and I'm not going to point at anyone.

From a game perspective, Wynn is built on MC, as everyone is aware. We run pretty much on plugins, as we are all aware, too. If, dear Lord, NO WAY, we were to keep a database of every item that every player ever had, we'd have to have as much server space as Google. Yes, every item ever. Let's say that Janeplayer got a Hive item a year ago, and claims to have lost it this year - we'd need to have a full data set for her for an entire year in order to be able to track that item, and all the rest. That's not going to happen. Sure, someone could check to see if Janeplayer has the item or not, but we would also need to check the entire history of that item, and without a tremendously massive database, we can't do that.

Yes, armor does pop off and vanish, yes accessories do the same thing, and the skill points of one loss can cause another item to vanish, too. I've had it happen to me. It's irritating, especially when the item is untradeable and therefore hard to replace. I know what it feels like and I don't like it, either. All of the CT, all of the staff, all of the devs, all of the admins are aware of the problem. We don't like it. We don't like having it happen to us. We don't like it happening to our players. Not one bit. Not one tiny bit. It's really upsetting to everyone. The fix is in the code, and the devs are working on the code.

Now, what if someone doesn't like the IDs they have on an item, so they toss it into the void, and claim that they lost it? Or, they transfer it through a chain of alts?

I'm sorry, but there are just too many problems with refunds, and there were too many problems when we could, and did, do refunds. That's not going to happen as things are, right now. We had too many players cheat the system, in the past, and the lesson was learned; no refunds.

Right now, as things stand, if you have to have accessories in order to wear a piece of armor, keep inventory slots open. Don't change back-and-forth between classes WITHOUT taking some time to do things, so that the server definitely can catch up with your position and your stats. And for Heaven's sake, don't log out anywhere where you aren't in a safe place, and on flat ground. Ever since I tested for the sp glitch, and the "esc" glitch on "do you want to kill this class", I've followed those rules all of the time. Guess what? Instead of losing an item every two to three weeks, I've lost one item in several months.

Should things be this way? Should we have to worry about any skill point glitchs? No, we should not have to. However, and this is the crux of the matter, right now, because of the way that Wynn is coded, because we do use skill points, we have to be careful about a glitch that does happen. Everyone has to be careful. No exceptions.

Change the refund policy? I have to say "no" - that idea is fraught with too many ways to cheat. We (yes, we, the entire Wynn team) wish that we currently had a way to never have to consider that players could or would cheat a refund system, but we don't. We can't. It's really not possible because we cannot keep track of hundreds of millions of items that are in or flow through the inventories of every player, ever day, over the course of several years. And that is what it would take in order for us to just begin to know what everyone has done with every item that they have ever had in their inventory.

Yeesh. This started out, in my mind, as needing only a few comments.

ye but just saying "we arent happy about the problem either" doesnt make anyone else happy or satisified
tbh this should be more "refund lost hive items (and The Lost parchment things)" thread
most other items can be replaced much more easily (unless their mythics but who tf wears mythic armor anyway right)
but hive items are, again, pretty much the culmination of all your efforts on a single class, and losing it, especially to a more casual player who doesnt have like 10hours a day and is filthy rich to grind another class all the way back to at least 80 to do the hive again, is a very devastating thing and simply keeping track of hive items or just checking to see if they have it or not and if they've done the hive should be enough to confirm a refund. of course this has to happen after untradeable trading is fixed (probably a long time (never)) and jsut keeping track of people who've already asked for a refund should be easy enough

Its not about possibly cheating the system several times lmao... just a single time is already more than enough. .-. Thats already an increase in hive items for you of 100% lol... dont you think thats already pretty bad? And yeah sure it sucks a lot when you loose your armour/your items... but i am sure that they are doing the bewt they can to fix it. And thus they cant really say more than that they arent happy about the situation. They literally cant do more than their very best. Unfortunately there is no red "fix glitches" button that you just got to press and then your server is mlg af. It just doesnt work that way. If there was a way for them to know for absolutely certain that not a single wynn player would ever even dare thinking about abusing the system... i am sure the policy would be different. However... mythic duping, crate duping, crate duping (lmao), dmg formula abuse to get insane dmg, melee spell build abuse (warscream etc) and finally... trading untradables(even on topic)... has tought us something different. A lot of wynncraft players seem to readily abuse every single glitch out there that is essencially game breaking. And thus the no refund policy should not and hopefully will not get changed.

ik theyre doing the best they can, and ik they cant just slap a button and have everything fixed, but jsut because theyre working hard on it doesnt make a single problem go away. anyway the only way to abuse the system would be if you just want to switch a hive item you got for another one (which would be only a one time thing and if they lose that one they wont be getting another) or if they have a way to ditch their item then get it back afterwards (which is why, if youve read more than one of my comments, i say that if they do change the policy (we all already know the wont tho idk wut im doing here) it will have to be after untradeable trading is fixed)

Why are you addressing normal items?
From what I've seen you can see what quests what player has done and if they have the item or not
    http://prntscr.com/hc82fr
If you read the first line, it says this needs untradeables being tradeable to be fixed.

Why would it matter if they lost the item 2 years ago or 1 month ago?
It doesn't change the fact they lost it, did the quest and doesn't have the item

How about this? I JUST LOST ANOTHER ACCESSORY DUE TO THE ACCESSORIES STILL BEING SUBJECT TO A SKILL* POINT GLITCH AND I WANT TO RANT AND SCREAM AND YELL AND THROW A TANTRUM!!!!! (1)

Would it make you feel better if I said that, rather than that we aren't happy about this either? That we know how bad it is? That we want to fix it, too? Would it change anything? No. It's a code issue, and the devs are working on it. When they get it sorted out, that WILL fix it.

    (1) I actually just did, but I'm not freaking out over it. I can't replace it for a long, long, time, and it's not tradeable.

Glitch abuse. Any item can be gotten rid of through glitch abuse. And no, untradeable items will not be made tradeable unless, and until, the admins/owners decide that that is how they want to deal with the situation. At this point, I'm not aware of any discussion or consideration of that as being an option. Besides, items were made untradeable in order to prevent abuse of the items.

    EDIT: Typo corrected. Thanks.

my point is, saying "we're working on it" doesnt mean shit because this bug's been around for a long time already and we have absolutely no idea when it will be fixed. and also, hard to keep the salt out of a thread when your literally saying suck it up stop being a little bitch. until the problem is fixed, it doesnt matter how hard ur working on it because the problem is still there and nothing is being done about it. the players get the feeling the higher ups dont give a shit about them, and frankly wynncraft isnt so good a game people will keep playing even if they get shat on. as for people abusing the system, is it really worse to have some people have multiple end-game items that wont harm anybody else than for people to lose the same items, that they've worked for tens of hours for, because of a shitty glitch that shouldve been fixed a long time ago and then being told to stop being a little bitch ass 12 year old?
also its a skill point glitch not soul point glitch

They do this mostly for free man, why dont you stop playing if you don't like it? Yes they have ranks but those are permanent, unlike most other subscriptions. Lets say that 500 people have ranks (using Hero as an example to count for other items bought) and that would be about 40,000 usd. Thats about how much one person makes averagely in the US. They're trying their best to fix the problem and instead of having an actual good suggestion you're yelling at them for not getting it done faster.
This isn't Hypixel were they have these big teams to work with, Wynncraft is a small server. They barely get 1000 players every day. You're sounding like a "little bitch ass 12 year old" when you're acting like this is all Wynncraft's fault and swearing at them for no good reason. It would be nice to get more updates with where they are in progress, but that would take more time off their hands. Why dont you apply to be a coder and fix it if you think it should have been done sooner? These people probably have other jobs than working for a small Minecraft server, while you're probably still a kid living with your parents like most of us.
