Game Design Quest Items

Often times when you finish a quest you are left with a quest item that you cant get rid of and it just ends up clogging your inventory or bank which is really obnoxious when you actually have worthwhile item that you need space for. For example I'm only level 41 but I currently have:
Slime scooper, corruption relic shard, cluckles favorite feather, yahyas stained bowl, yellow crystal shard, maltics recommendation letter, sayleros brother ashes, and a corrupted. thats a whole bar of space gone and god only knows what it'll look like when i'm level 80. I even tried suicide multiple times to lose all my soul points so that i would drop them on death. i suggest perhaps a quest similar to tower of amnesia that would give you somewhere to get rid of your old quest items or maybe just LET THE PLAYER DROP THEM

 

You need most of those items, and granted, there are some quest items that become obsolete and no longer needed, but most of yours are not that

Letting the player drop quest items would be very bad, it would make players lose tons of quest items with no reliable way to get them back
A separate quest items storage would be far better, and much less dangerous

 

You get rid of Cluckles' Favourite Feather at level 74.
You get rid of Yahya's Stained Bowl, Maltic's Recommendation Letter, Sayleros's Brother's Ashes, and the Corrupted Potato at level 68.
You get rid of the Yellow Crystal Shard at level 46.
Isn't the corruption relic shard an item from Craftmas Chaos? If you finish it you shouldn't have it anymore. (Level 30)
Currently there is no way to get rid of the slime scooper.

 

There is a way to get rid of quest items though; If you go to your compass and click on your daily reward(If you already claimed it then just wait another 24 hours.) Then, put all of your quest items in there, close it, and they should be gone. Doing so is generally not advised unless you're sure that you'll never need to the item again, but if you do need those lost quest items again, then do /fixquests.

You just have to wait until it’s 12 PM Eastern time.
Same goes with totems and the daily crate (for donators).

 

Yeah, most of the quest items are got rid of at higher levels. However, I think in the meantime it's a pain to having them clogging up your bank/other classes. Particularly the numerous quest/untradable helmets. I think I've got, like, 20 having never thrown one away, not counting the cosmic set. Yes, I'm a bit of a hoarder because I don't want to have to redo all the quests. But this should be changed. Maybe... shall I do it? Yes - etter anks ois!
