    World Bosses

    It seemed like a peaceful day as you venture through Nivla Forest once again. As you look around you see nothing out of the ordinary, just the same old and rustic trees with many carves in its bark. Yet, something seems different. As you take a sharp turn to your left side, you see it. A beast, never seen before in these lands, and it sure looks tough...

    Here we go again boys, buckle up because damn you are going to have a lot of reading to do if you want to get through this post. But hey, remember that its written using lots of love (and my precious time). So, world bosses ey? If you have played any other MMORPG you have likely heard about this before. If not, don't worry, i'm here to fresh up your memory.

    What are world bosses?
    World bosses are though enemies that can be found throughout your journey exploring the massive world of Wynn. As they are much stronger than normal enemies, their loot is also far more valuable. It becomes a decision whether you want to risk your life killing it or leave unharmed.

    Why world bosses in wynn?
    While exploring, you may find some areas bland. With that don't mean they are not built well, the entire map is a phenomenal thing, i'm talking about mobs. Fighting the same mobs over and over again starts to get boring. If you have played through the entirety of the game at least 2 times, you know which mobs will spawn where, it kinda ruins the element of surprise. So why world bosses then? World bosses are something new, something fresh, something worth exploring for.

    "But Rem, world bosses are already in the game, they added boss altars with bosses you noob. Worst suggestion 1/10". Well, boss altars are kind of a different story. They also have their firm locations on the map, which ruins the exploring aspect. Look, Wynncraft needs more reasons to explore the world. Chests are a good reason to but they encourage you, once you have found them, to only visit the chests a second time, not the area they are in. This makes many areas in the game forgettable and bland after your first visit.

    Where would these bosses spawn?
    World bosses, like key guardians, will have a small chance of spawning in their designated biome. Unlike key guardians however, these things are very rare. If they would be common, there is no reason for hunting these things. It would also make it easy to grind good loot, as these world bosses drop that. So, for example, a desert themed world boss has a chance to spawn anywhere in the desert, encouraging exploring and hunting for these magnificent creatures.

    What loot would they drop?
    As mentioned before, they will drop far better loot than a normal enemy, otherwise it would not be worth it hunting for these bosses. Emerald wise these bosses would drop anything from some EB at lower levels, to some LE at higher levels. Now you may think i'm crazy for suggesting LE as a drop, but since these things are rare, the reward should be great, otherwise its not worth hunting for.

    As for items, there is 2 possibilities: regular world bosses have a 100% chance to drop a random legendary around the boss' level, or it can drop a world boss exclusive untradable item. Higher level bosses should also have a higher mythic drop multiplier. I was thinking about x100, which may sound crazy but is actually nothing (killing 100 mobs takes like half a minute in some places). Now that i think about it, it should probably be higher, even x1000 seems fair as you would have likely encountered more than 1000 regular mobs before you find a world boss.

    How strong are these world bosses
    A bit less powerful as dungeon bosses i would say, as that seems like a good powerlevel for them to be on. They would have multiple spells, just like other bosses. Sometimes world bosses can also have other, less powerful mobs around, making your approach to fighting them different for every encounter. As they spawn randomly in the world, this also adds that bit of diversity ever fight since it will always take place at another location.

    yeah i support i wanna be walking as lvl 20 by nemrekt and find a charon's elite soldier and fite it
    now, i believe some examples of these bosses would be good

    Sorry, but I'm not a fan of this! There are already plenty of minibosses and I feel like they're enough, we don't need any "superboss". It would be good if it was a yellow mob maybe, that is far from cities and doesn't absolutely destroy any unprepared players. Fighting a boss in the open world is a good idea, but if it just aggroed everything it simply wouldn't be good.
    A world boss has to be recognizable. Let's take the exemple of an old mmorpg I used to play on: Eden Eternal
    This game featured world bosses and they were enormous, big enough to tell you to NOT attack them.

    Due to some minecraft limits, we can't really change the size of a monster. We'd have to create custom models and honestly that'd be perfect, but the animations wouldn't be fluid (it's really hard to do that with models)
    The idea itself is good, but if the CT wanted to do this right now it'd require a lot of model work, and also some more work code-wise with hitboxes and stuff like that.

    what about some new tag color?
    or some special mark for these? like a small symbol over them showing they arent normal

    yeah another color would work, but we need a way for the player to not get aggroed randomly
    also i feel like summon like boss is kinda overdone now

    A 100* loot multiplier doesn't mean you killed 100 mobs, it reduces the 0.0000007 or whatever to 0.00007. This is a LOT. Like killing 1000+ mobs.

    We already have mini bosses such as key guardians, Queen Slime, and the Mother spider just to name a few. We really don’t need more of them.

    Even if it's far away for wynncraft, i'm just hoping that 1.13 allows for custom models just like bedrock addons
