World Quests

So i'm sure a lot of people want to redo a quest not for exp or money, but to just experience the quest again. It could also fix the issue of losing quest items, having the player redo the quest for the quest items for example, Taproot needs to be done so you can have the taproot for Finding The Light. Which I have lost my taproot sadly, also adding the option to restart quests allows players to fix the bug in there quest by letting them restart.

There's already a way to do this - start a new class. This way would be problematic as it breaks up the timeline- suddenly what happened in the quest has no longer happened. There's also the problem that the way the quest system is done, resetting a quest is no simple matter, as progress in quests is stored in several places independently - this would have to be individually coded for each quest.

Easy to fix this, however. Just have it give you no items except quest items on repeats. If it's saying you don't get the XP, that shouldn't be much more work.

Oh, my bad, I misread the post. I thought he meant people did quests REGARDLESS of the xp and money, so it would still give xp and money. I also thought this bc of your previous post.

Yes but if I remember sometimes /fixquests won't give that quest item your looking for.

 

because it thinks you don't have it when you should

Mine won't give me any of the 'The Lost' letters, one of which I lost(idk which), but will give me enchanted water (from the fountain of youth quest) and Maxie's house key, which I know is in my bank. Lol

 

To be fair you could just make a new character to redo quests but it'd be hassle to get to the higher level quests that you want to do
