    Minecraft:
Recently I’ve been seeing some suggestion threads, so i decided to talk about an Idea i’ve had for a while: The Corrupted WynnCraft Playthrough. So here’s the main idea:

    The corrupted playthrough:

You start off in an alternate timeline, starting in Wynn, like normal, but this is CORRUPTED Wynn. The main map is slight altered, a copy of the original map, but added onto with the building style utilized in the corrupted dungeons entrances. The Roots of corruption would be a gateway to the normal Wynn playthrough, decorated in the style of the realm of light with similar greenery instead of dark and gloomy with spikes and lava. Classes in the corrupted wynn playthrough will have another selection screen, and not take up space in normal class slots. It’s an inverted map: The areas in the normal map that seem ‘corrupted’ would look happy and bright, and the normal areas would would look corrupted and dead.

    Classes:

Corrupted Wynn Playthrough has it’s own classes, not being clones of the normal classes, like more reskins. Here are the classes:

    Demon class

Playstyle: Movement and speed, based on fast attack speed.

    Spells:

    『First Spell』 Spikes:

    Mana: 1-3

Tier 1: Deals low earth damage by shooting a line of spikes in whatever direction you are looking

Tier 2: Traps mobs for a second and slows them down for 10 seconds if mobs are hit by the spikes

Tier 3: Launches Mobs into the Air for a bit if they are hit by the spikes

    『Second Spell』 Fly:

    Mana: 3

Tier 1: Makes a small explosion at your feet, launching you straight into the Air.

Tier 2: Repels mobs near the explosion, however, it does not damage them.

Tier 3: Once you reach the height limit of your ascension, gravity no longer applies for 5 seconds, so you will no longer ascend nor fall, allowing you to fly for a few seconds.

    『Third Spell』 Quake:

    Mana: 4

Tier 1: Moves and shakes nearby mobs, dealing no damage, but repelling them

Tier 2: The shake is more intense, shooting mobs a few blocks in the air

Tier 3: Lava flies up from the earth’s core, setting enemies on fire.

    『Fourth Spell』 Fire Blasts:

    Mana: 8-10

Tier 1: Shoots out 2 streaks of fire particles, that explode after three seconds, damaging and setting enemies in the blast radius on fire

Tier 2: Fire streaks now track nearby clusters of mobs

Tier 3: Summons three fire streaks instead of three

    Second Class:

    Summoner

Playstyle and description: If you’re looking for high damage, Summoner is for you. Capable of shape-shifting and firing from the back lines, as well as summoning minions that can deal damage and tank for you, a Summoner’s only weakness is their spells cost a lot, meaning it’s easy to be a Summoner and find yourself without Mana.

    『First Spell』 Tiger:

    Mana: 5

Tier 1: Summons a short lived tiger that lasts for about 2 seconds before automatically dying, but dealing damage quickly, and has 15 Health

Tier 2: Increases Tiger’s health and how long it lasts, it now stays for 5 seconds, it also now has 100 Health

Tier 3: Tiger Gains Elemental defenses to all element, as well as deals All elements of damage, however it’s health drops to 75. Gains a bit of speed.

    『Second Spell』 Dragon-Morph:

    Mana: 8

Tier 1: You can glide through (Morphed into a dragon) the air until you hit the ground, at which point you morph back into a human

Tier 2: If you hit mobs, you now deal a small amount of damage to them

Tier 3: Morph lasts for longer, and you also deal large amounts of damage to mobs when you run into them morphed.

    『Third Spell』 Wind Spirit:

    Mana: 13-15

Tier 1: Summons a wind spirit to break your fall

Tier 2: For a few seconds after the spell is cast, you gain an air damage boost, and gain 5 Agility temporarily

Tier 3: Where you look, small clouds will be shot, knocking mobs back

    『Fourth Spell』 Summon Vespus

    Mana: 20

Tier 1: Summons a Vespus, a small fire creature that zips about quickly, setting nearby enemies on fire and dealing large amounts of fire damage

Tier 2: The Vespus has a random chance to explode, dealing small damage to nearby enemies. When it explodes, the Vespus Will die

Tier 3: It now takes 3 Explosions for the Vespus to die, however, the Vespus is now summoned with ⅓ of it’s health missing, but gains a small amount of health from damaging mobs.

    Vampire:

Playstyle/Description: A sort of morph of the 2 other classes, it attacks its enemies close up, but able to easily run away, A sort of glass cannon hybrid with emphasis on life steal, and high attack speed

    『First Spell』 Possession:

    Mana: 4

Tier 1: The closest enemy stops attacking you, and stays still for 5 seconds

Tier 2: Instead of just the closest enemy, it affects all enemies in a radius of five blocks

Tier 3: Possessed enemies now attack non-possessed enemies while they are possessed

    『Second Spell』 Disappear:

    Mana: 2-3

Tier 1: You vanish for 5 seconds, becoming invisible, and mobs will stop tracking you. When you re-appear, however, mob that were targeting you will attack you once again

Tier 2: Mobs will not retarget you when you re-appear, as you disappear in a swarm of bats that distract nearby mobs.

Tier 3: More bats are summoned. Length of time you stay invisible also increases..

    『Third Spell』 Bite:

    Mana: 5-6
    Mana: 4

Tier 1: Has a %50 chance of draining 1/10 of an enemy’s mana, That other %50 chance would be to stealing %0.1 of an enemy’s health.

Tier 2: Mana drain now takes 1/7 of an enemy’s mana, and health drain drains %0.5 of an enemy’s health

Tier 3: Instead of a %50 chance of draining mana or health, it does both without a chance of one or the other. It drains both mana and health. It also drains %1.0 of an enemy’s health, and drains ⅕ of an enemy’s mana

    『Fourth spell』 Empires:
    Mana: 10

Tier 1: All mobs nearby summon Projectiles that shoot them down

Tier 2: Raises a castle around you

Tier 3: Projectiles become stronger, as well as creates a small rain cloud that poisons enemies that are touched by it. Enemies that touch the walls slow down permanently

    More on the [『Corrupted』 Playthrough』]:

This is not final. This so far is just an idea I had, and spent a few days working around, i want get criticism to see how i can improve this idea.

More classes may come, those classes were just a few ideas i really wanted to talk about. The 『Corrupted』 Playthrough would be quite similar to the original playthrough, mostly harder. One thing i want to point it is maybe the corrupted playthrough isn’t unlocked at Lvl. 0, maybe you’d have to reach Lvl. 100 or 101 and then have the option to play it. The『Corrupted』 Playthrough would be an inverted version of the normal version, a corrupted, decayed world ruled by darkness, with a different storyline and quests. That’s it. Just a harder game, with a few new quests. In fact, it may not even need to be new quests. Just harder quests. Maybe have some the text missing, like the ‘obfuscated’ tellraw option, or having that in the quest book.

Actually, the quests and map would be mostly untouched. It'd be laggy but not take too much time. only a few months, they dont have to rebuild the whole map. just addon to it a bit. and change the Quest dialogue files.

Note that the supposedly simple task that you are trying to present is not quite as easy to implement as you may expect: attempting to give the entirety of the map a corrupted feel cannot simply be done with a few additions; it would necessitate rebuilding the entire map. It is nearly impossible to convey any large feeling (in this case, corruption and darkness) through changes as trivial as the ones you have amended your suggestion with.

In addition, quest dialogue is not something that can be trifled with. Due to the sheer quantity of currently existing quests and the requirement that they possess at least mildly interesting dialogue, converting quests into a corrupted form would need what is essentially a mass rewrite of the story. Not to mention the changes to quest areas not shown on the main map and NPC skins that are necessary for a full experience. If only a few changes are applied, there would not be enough diversity to justify a completely different area.

Furthermore, creating a large number of new classes requires much more work than may be initially imagined: A list of weapons with well-thought-out statistics must be designed for all levels in every class created, with map changes and quest changes and even story changes to much of the game being required in order to prevent exploitation or plot holes.

Overall, your idea is too large. It is not an inherently bad idea, but try to tone down the mass that you have now to a more manageable size, and focus on explaining the most important parts of your idea. Perhaps have only a certain area of the map be relevant to this separated gameplay, or have your new classes be optional modifications of a pre-existing class. I'd even recommend creating a singular quest that relates to your idea. Interesting modifications to normal gameplay such as the ones you have suggested can be a defining feature of a good quest.

Try to come to terms with the impracticality of this current suggestion, and create a new one, with a better concept of what can be done given the limits presented here. With enough practice will come a great idea that will be approved of rather than the opposite.

I obviously agree with everyone saying it's too big a suggestion, but it could be added as a quest. I mean, there are a few corrupted versions of areas of Wynn (corrupted dungeon entrances), but overall it's way too big. Also, those classes abilities seem somewhat unbalanced and awkward to use, as well as sounding very difficult to code.

I like how you have a great idea of this. It's nicely done but isn't very viably appealing.

    So here are some suggestions:
-Make the post look more neat and presentable, you are trying to present this to others, having a non-well thought out idea of how this is going to look is not what you want. If this is the first draft then save it on a docs folder or something of the sort.
-Its a bit long, I understand that sometimes SPOILERS don't work the way you want them to do, then at that point as the first step, make it look better.
-Think about how much time this will take for the mods and such.
-You posted it in the wrong place. I posted my work in well... Your Work because it was something that wasn't a suggestion but instead something people could look at. If you want that, then move it over to Your Work please, but if it is a suggestion, then please put it in Suggestions.
-A lot of errors are made, make this look a bit nicer.

    Now here are some compliments
-I love the idea, it is somewhat original and very exciting.
-The ideas of these classes are nice, they have some aspect into them that are lovely too.
There are a ton more things that I can say but I want to see you grow as another creator. Best of luck to you~

I had another idea for that matter: what if instead of copying and pasting an impossible amount they could retexture the current resourcepack to more redder and darker colors for corrupted players and make them be in the same world as normal players. Sure, it would still take a metric shit tone of time, coding, and Jumla and Apollo's sanity, but still, it would be more possible than copying and pasting an entire map and then changing all the blocks of the map and all that.

If were going off the suggestion and adding classes that would still take a crap ton of coding
Plus there's the quest diffucty and not much has really changed... just diffrent looks
You'd still have to do everything above except now you don't have to add more or less to the map

Well, judging by the fact that suggestions usually serve as inspiration for the content team, and less than 1% of them actually get added into the game (besides Drun'dek, that one is 140% confirmed), this could be turned into a really cool quest, but not into a whole other version of wynn, because that would be just too big.

Imagine doing something like World of Warcraft has done with its vehicle combat, like for example: You stop playing as your class while you're doing the quest and instead get inside the body of a demon or something, only having 1 or 2 spells and dealing a crap ton of meele damage to wynn soldiers.

In WoW, you usually have more than 11 spells bound to your keyboard, but when you're doing a vehicle quest it's all about mashing 3 buttons and destroying everything in your path.

I don't know if this is possible though, but it would be really cool.

This raises concerns with the lore.
1 - Firstly, it requires imagining a reversed world where all the places, characters and mobs remain functionally the same, but it's reversed. This is extremely far-fetched. For an alternate timeline, first decide when the timelines split (what event goes differently) and how this causes all of the changes we see.
2- It's even more difficult to believe that the Nether portal becomes an area like the Realm of the Light - corruption is affects them particularly badly, and they cannot retake what it has destroyed, only contain it. Perhaps in this timeline, for whatever reason, the corruption spreads farther out. This may leave certain remote areas unaffected but the Roots of Corruption and other such locations would be firmly corrupt.
3- What about Gavel? They don't have the corruption there, nor is it very likely that it will be able to spread there. You could make a timeline where it's completely overrun by the Decay, but an entire corrupted world is not really possible.
3 - There's serious risk of contradicting unreleased but existing lore about the Corrupted Dungeons, the Forgery and the runes.

There's also the issue that doubling the playable landmass would cause enormous amounts of lag, and that most of us would rather all that effort went into entirely new areas rather than a complete remake of the old content. I'd rather be exploring Dern than a different version of Wynn any day.
