Don't Use Hoppers As Item-taking Npcs

We've all seen them
some end-quest bosses, that drop keys/door-opening items, have hopper NPCs that take the item the boss drops which will then grant you permission to leave. You have to right click these hoppers right?
Well, sometimes it just goes through a person's mind to throw the key into the hopper.

you've been bamboozled and you then realize you're supposed to right click the hopper rather than throw the key in!
now you are either stuck in the boss room or you have to wait for the Boss to respawn.

as an idiot, I do things that idiots do- We must patch up all things idiots may do to screw themselves over!

Hopper NPCs aren't solid so even if you toss an item in you should be able to pick it back up.

 

That's the issue he's pointing out, people think they're supposed to throw the key in and it doesn't work.

 

some hopper npcs are able to take stuff, I can say this because my keys have been taken on multiple occasions. and for some reason I keep throwing my keys into hopper npcs xd

 

They definitely shouldn't be able to take your items. Perhaps your item went through the hopper out of view but it should be able to be picked back up. Regardless, I'll see about changing them.
