    Hey! It's Meric, I haven't made another suggestion in a while, and since the majority of my suggestions were rated with a "meh" I thought I would try to change that by changing it to a "eh" or a "bad"

    So here we go!
    The suggestion is Weapon Powers!

    Weapon powers [which will now be refereed to as Enchants] are powered up versions of you normal weapons, that encourage you to play to a certain style, or play a certain role in the game

    Still confused? An example of this would be the weapon warp
    It gives a large walk speed buff, but has a large health regen debuff. This encourages the player to use warp as a travel weapon, and to not use it in dangerous or pvp / pve locations.

    Wait.. I hear you asking [no I don't] If these "Enchants" already exist in game, how are you re-adding them? Well, they are going to be re-added in a slightly different way.

    Example:

    As we can see here, we have a knock-off version of Warp, but this time it's slightly different
    instead of giving you insane walk speed and negative health regen, it halves the cost of the teleport spell, but doubles the cost of meteor afterward it for a short duration

    lets say that normally a teleport spell would cost 8 mana
    [not the right amount I know]

    While using warp weaver, it instead costs 4 mana to cast.
    however straight afterward the cost of meteor goes up

    Now our knock-off version of warp, can be used for some pvp, but is exteremly good at traveling
    [Of course this example is broken and bad, as this would allow mage flying, and has terrible stats, but you get the idea]

    But if you don't get the idea, Heres some more examples:

    The weapon deals double damage to undead mobs [Zombie, Skeleton, ETC] but deals 15% less damage to all other types of mobs

    The weapon deals 25% additional damage to all mobs, but will randomly drain mana

    The possibilities are endless!

    Part II

    Now onto part II, how to obtain these weapon upgrades

    Since this concept is still in it's infancy there is no decided way... YET, but I do have some concept ideas!

    Certain weapons such as Mythic will have default set powers for them, that way they do not break the lore
    [such as Warp will never get a enchant that negatively effects travel]

    Other weapon classes can be added this way:
    Through Enchanters!

    The enchanter will be located in large cities, or end-game cities, obviously they have the power to add enchantments to your weapon

    What are enchant orbs?
    Orbs that allow you to add enchants!
    They can be acquired through: N/A [Will be done later]

    Champion's Way
    Grants bonus damage to humanoids, (any entity that has a human-like structure) but inflicts less damage to other mob types. I.E. More damage towards zombies, less damage towards spiders

    Affinity Adept: (Element)
    Grants bonus (Fire/Water/Thunder/Earth/Wind) damage and defense, but inflicts user with less (Water/Thunder/Earth/Wind/Fire) damage and defense.

    Physic
    Grants bonus Strength and Defense, but inflicts user with less Intelligence and Dexterity.

    Blooming Flower
    Reduces mana cost of the first obtained spell, but doubles mana cost of the fourth obtained spell.

    Focused Stance
    Standing still after 2 seconds restores more mana, but regenerates less health.

    Steady Stance
    Standing still after 2 seconds regenerates more health, but restores less mana.

    Class Exclusive Enchants:

    > Archer


    Bombardment
    Reduces mana cost for Arrow Bomb spell, but doubles mana cost for Arrow Shield spell.

    Arc Duelist
    Grants bonus damage if the enemy wields a ranged weapon, but inflicts user by receiving more damage from melee attacks.

    Tempest Arrows
    Increases normal damage the longer the arrow is airborne, but also decreases normal damage for shorter durations.

    > Assassin

    Blind Spot
    Decreases mana depletion when invisible, but costs more mana to cast Vanish.

    Vel Duelist
    Grants bonus damage if the enemy's movement or attack speed is equal to or faster than the user, but inflicts user by receiving more damage from enemies with slower movement or attack speed.

    Life and Death
    Grants immense bonus damage against melee-ranged enemies, but also inflicts user by receiving immense damage from melee-ranged enemies.

    > Mage

    Selflessness
    Grants bonus health to allies in range of Heal, but decreases amount of health user heals.

    Res Duelist
    Grants bonus damage if the enemy has more elemental attack than neutral attack, but inflicts user by receiving more damage from enemies that have more neutral attack than elemental attack.

    Fire and Ice
    Reduces mana cost for Meteore and Ice Snake spell, but doubles mana cost for Heal and Teleport spell.

    > Warrior

    Adrenaline Rush
    Grants bonus Strength and Agility for a short period after casting War Scream or Charge spell, but decreases Strength and Agility for a short period after casting Bash or Uppercut spell.

    War Duelist
    Grants bonus damage if the enemy wields a melee weapon, but inflicts user by receiving more damage from ranged attacks.

    Civil Code
    Grants bonus damage mitigation if the enemy is a monster or creature, but inflicts user by receiving more damage from humanoids.








    FAQ:

    Q: How will enchant orbs be obtained?
    A: this part will be done later because im too lazy

    Q: Will every weapon have a custom variant, such as Warp --- > Warpweaver? Won't this cause a shit ton of extra work?
    A: no, each item stays the same, just gets added lore and effects

    Q:How will this ever be coded?
    A: It can't, it's impossible, without a load of lag and jumla magic, it's just not feasible

    Q: So why is this a thing then?
    A: General suggestions are never added in-game, they are simply used to bring up issues, and inspire the team to create solutions

    Now what are those you ask? heh, why are you asking you idiot that was a rhetorical question

    Weapon powers are basically weapons that can change your playstyle by making you play a certain way.
    That already exists you say! Such as Warp, it reduces your combat skill by a LOT but makes you way faster!
    That's great!
    But what if we... change it slightly

    here we have a different version of Warp
    ignoring the facts that it has like no stats because i'm bad, we can see that what it does is halves the cost of the teleport spell, but doubles the cost of meteor after using teleport for X seconds or X amount

    well what's the difference between Warpweaver and Warp? Warpweaver is a bit more versatile, and allows for more possiblites for using it

    With this system anything is possible
    such as:
    When casting heal the heal amount is increased by 25%, but damage is reduced by 50% for 5 seconds after using it, and so on

    Although this might be a bit challenging to code, and would never be added, I just thought it might be an interesting idea

    So what are your thoughts?
    I would be glad to hear them


    Now onto part II!

    how would I get a Weapon Power?

    Simply visit the new NPC the enchanter! located in large cities such as Detlas, Troms, Cinfras, etc


    Once you have found the enchanter, right click him

    Now it brings up a GUI
    [subject to change]


    here you can add something like an Enchant rune, similar to powders, it gives a certain type of weapon enchant / power

    Or you can add a power with emeralds


    This would give you a random weapon power

    Once you have added your power

    your weapon will look slightly different, with the enchant twinge around it


    Anyway thats the basic idea I had,
    right now it's super unbalanced, and just a general idea, suggestions for improvement would be appreciated!

    That was just an example involving spells


    it could literally be anything

    You deal double damage to undead opponents but must dab every 10 seconds to stay alive
    etc.

    I think this idea is interesting, but it needs more development. Try creating a list of abilities/stats/trade offs you want to implement and then see what others think.
