More Updates

Wynncraft is dying slowly, but surely. We need more updates consistently. Considering that the last update in which was over 3 months ago. We need more simply. I think it's safe to say everyone wants it...the players are leaving, some are done, and some are just desperately holding on waiting for something good to happen and for some fun to come out.

Join the CT team, then you can imagine what it takes to release a new update. It's work. It takes time.
Also, "Featured Wynncraftian Suggestions" is the wrong section for this. I'll move it to general suggestions.

 

Gavel took over a year after it's announcement to get released. Even then, it took an expansion update to implement most of the features the developers wanted with it. Making a quality update that is sizable is very hard. There is also another reason it is taking so long, and that is the Refractor. The development team has brought in a cool dude named Apollo to essentially grind out issues, contradictions, and performance issues from Wynncraft's code. This is a very difficult and time consuming task, and it's truly impossible to give a solid estimate. Besides, do you really just want the Content Team to keep recycling the same old content each time? I can understand why this may feel a little unfair and long-overdue, however, the developers do not have the materials and personnel available to your favorite AAA-Developers like Blizzard, Bethesda, Paradox, and so many others. They simply cannot churn out updates that are up to their standards at the rate that you expect.

And keep in mind they do this in their free time - the devs don't get any money from it, it's not their job. They just like to do it (well, I hope so! :D)

 

Wynn believes in one thing: Quality over Quantity .

That and the devs are also people and don't get paid so they must go to school/work to earn a living,

this is probably why i quit wynn, and personally, i would rather have more enjoyable quests with lag

 

The amount of time it takes for the CT to make and implement content has nothing to do with how much lag the server has. The amount of content and how fast the CT can do depend on the size or number of features being implemented as well as how busy the CT is busy with other things like school, work, etc. The amount of lag is mainly dependent on code, the servers Wynncraft has, and the amount of players on each server.

Nah, most of the player just get bored at some point after the update, and they start doing other stuff. But when the update comes the players online will skyrocket, in fact, during the first day of Corkus update, it was almost impossible to find a server that wasn't filled with players. Also, like a third of an update is fixing all the bugs or exploits.

As someone who has been with Wynn since November 2013, I can confirm that the average number of players online has been steadily decreasing for a long time now.

 

Next up! Add more players, fix lag, fix guilds, and add more servers.
