Website & Forums Add Mafia Forum

Recently, there was a spike of mafia games in the Forum Games forum. It started when @stlast and I both came up with mafia games within one month. Afterwards, people like @GeneralCobra19 and @Stag2003 came up with their own games. We've wanted to make another subforum exclusively for mafia games, so that we can have ranks, a more strict system, and a place where all the games are gathered together. I guess I'll go into more detail for all of this stuff.

GC and I both come from a different mafia forum, and there was a rank system there with two ranks better than "newbie". People would apply for these and high-ranking players would accept or reject them. The purpose of these ranks is as follows:
1) Modding: Only SE's and IC's can mod games, and a game must be checked by someone of high status. Hopefully this would lower the amount of low-quality games.
2) Instructing newbies: More experienced players would be able to help less-experienced players with learning more about the game.

Gathering the games is pretty self-explanatory. In addition, a separate subforum dedicated to Mafia could also make way for useful other threads that could be pinned (which wouldn't be very convenient to pin normally) such as a signups thread, etc.

If it's possible, I would like to be made a forum-specific moderator just for the Mafia forum so I could deal with, say, people who are posting there when they shouldn't, though if that's not possible that's not that big of a deal.

There are a few other deviations from the normal site I'd want to add to this forum, but it isn't that big of a deal. Add the forum and I'd be happy, pretty much.

eh but with Wynn Mafia Growing, people have tried working on a storyline. Having a sub-forum with that could be home of an alternate story for wynn

 

No there isn't; and we are talking about a forum on Wynn, which would have the same players, so we don't play with that much strangers outside of wynn...

I don't think we need one, it'll die off eventually and we'll end up with a useless forum

 

Actually, there have been about 50 people who have participated in a mafia game this month; mafia games don't die off fast, with each member that leaves a new person usually comes in.

As I've said, these fora are very unwieldly, and people can say bad words frequently. Also, if you wanted people solely on wynncraft to join, you can make one here. Furthermore, the people you know well can join, and not ten strangers which spread cancer with each post.

We've done that, but 1) we need a place to put all the games, and 2) some games are very unwieldly, and we need a systematic way of checking each game, so people know that their game is fair before they join. Some of the current games *cough cough* are very unbalanced, and scum can win in the first two days.

We've posted them all in the games forum, and I've seen some setups that were SUPER unwieldly...
and each game had a separete signups thread btw

This is hardly official, other sites like Mafia Universe exist...
Also, last Mafia Universe, there were 150+ mafia communities. Would these exist if a forum was "official"?

But why would we go to a forum that is not "official"? MU is ahead of mafiascum, and it's hardly official. Communities have their own mafia forums, then they meet together for a collective tournament on Mafia Universe if they want, and that's it. What's the disadvantage with having one on Wynn? It's easily accessible(we all know where it is, we don't need another thing to check JUST FOR MAFIA), it would have only wynn members, so we can spout wynn references, and that's how everyone else on other fora do it iirc.
