After sailin' through the ocean with a help of Seaskipper Captain for a while I came up with an idea that all his stories 'bout pirates and Nemract Whiskey are a lil bit tedious.
Say, a single loot chest of first tier won't overpower sea travellin' and will add some profit for fellows going by ship at the same time.
Guess the chest could respawn every time the vessel goes on it's way into the sea.

Alright lets just make seaskipper free
This is a bad idea for a few reasons
1 Your practically robbing the captain
2 whats the point of paying an entry fee if you get your money back
and a few others but im too lazy

The seaskipper already gives you decent rewards for overseas traveling such as a selchar scroll and some rubies from sea vale reefs. That is if u listen and dont press the bell

Yep, that's already a thing, but selling pirate hooks and rubies takes time, when a loot chest just gives you a bunch of emeralds.
    ________________________________
You don't really get all the money back, a tier 1 loot chest that just spawned might give you around 2 emeralds, while the cheapest seaskipper's pass costs 4 emes. Also it doesn't have to spawn every time you are using the boat, so you won't get the loot chest every time.

The entry fee is at most, like 16 emeralds.
It's not like it's gonna break the economy.

But what I don't like is how it doesn't make sense, why would the captain not collect the loot himself?
Also how does a treasure chest end up on a pirate's boat, usually pirates bury those.

The Seaskipper captain is not a pirate. He's a private passenger carrier, and doesn't seem to be all that rich. He doesn't rob people, and his smallish boat would not be useful at all for that. Anyway, pirates did keep their treasure with them or spend it quickly, historically speaking, only a couple of pirates ever buried it and it was always found very quickly. The buried treasure idea was popularised by fictional works, like Treasure Island. We don't need to be historically accurate, but it is worth noting.

Another problem is how much this chest is going to be used - you're hardly ever going to find anything useful in it. Loot chest rewards decrease if the chest is opened too often, and given how much people use the Seaskipper, you're probably going to be finding something along the lines of two emeralds. It wouldn't break the economy - it'd just be useless. Think how little the Wavebreaker chest has in it, then consider that it's only available to high-level players, and that it's used far less even by those high-level players. I mean, you use the Seaskipper anyway to get to and from Selchar for it...

Actually, the maximum is 44 emeralds, from Half Moon Island to Llevigar, but some common journeys are similar in cost, like Nemract to Llevigar (42 emeralds). You can save by buying passes where they're cheapest, but that requires forward planning and inventory space.

Probably because it's his stuff... what else would the chest be for?

The Seaskipper can be a pirate if he wants, stop oppressing his dreams!

Also loot chests are generally found in the wilderness, and only openable because they belong to no one.
If there's a loot chest on the boat we have to assume it's no man's chest.

Also on the prices wow I really need to use the seaskipper more.

There's actually a loot chest on the boat that goes to Corkus from Selchar.
