    Assassin is perfectly fine


    Why do you need to be close to the enemy to properly use 3/4 spells archer has?

    thats exactly what you dont have to do, dont get close, and arrow shield is to protect you from melee enemies -_-
    remember the 4th spell of every class is supposed to not be offensive but a defensive spell, like smoke bomb slowing down, war scream giving boosts and sending the enemy 300 blocks away, and ice snake in order to combo it with other spells and attacks
    you really dont get the point of each class, each class has its skill, like mages having op spells but shitty weapons, warriors having decent weapons and being tank as hell, assassin dealing a lot of dmg and having decent weps and archer having the best weapons, dealing a good amount of damage and trying to maintain their distances
    if you realize, making a party where all the classes are there, warrior would have the tank role, mage the support one, assassin the damage one, and archers would be long range snipers

    You really can't properly use arrow storm from long distance. If arrow shield is supposed to be defensive, why does it deal so much damage then?

    The problem is that a lot of arenas in the world don't allow for ranged combat (LI, Orange Wybel, ETC.), and that archer's spells are, with the exception of bomb arrow, too close range to fill this niche.
    the problem is that it doesn't. Assassin weapons tend to have higher DPS (torrential tide has 602, brass band has 676, cluster has 700, black has 800), don't require extreme precision, and the spells of assassin all have more utility and damage per mana cost (bomb arrow deals 250% and has 31.25% spell damage per mana, multihit should deal 420% if it wasn't currently glitched, which is 42% per mana, and spin attack has 33.33% per mana as well as clearing all negative effects AND having the best stun in the game. Meanwhile arrow storm only deals 600% MAX, and the chances of that are incredibly low, while smoke bomb deals 540% PER TARGET at max, and with spin attack and multihit, the odds of getting all of the hits are much higher than getting every hit in with multihit). In other words, with archer it takes much more skill for much less effectiveness, which is the hallmark of something that needs a buff at the very least.

    And you COMPLETELY missed the point of smoke bomb; it's a damage booster, not an area denial tool. Your supposed to throw it at where you're fighting and use spin attack and multhit to keep enemies in. This boosts your dps by a lot and is the reason why assassin is so powerful at close range combat
