So, I know a lot of you are probably thinking like first who the fuck does this guy think he is and why do I care about why he quit. I completely understand that, however, I ain't just talking about that sooooooooooooo. Anyway, I play for the better part of a year and pretty often at that. I leveled my assassin at a leisurely pace to about 90 and joined a guild, we did guild shit. Went out and took Detlas or Troms away from HAX for like 5 min or something. Anyway, I am leveling, I hit cap, get on my knight get that to about 60 and then I stopped. I started playing less and less and within a month I just stopped all together.

Now why would I just stop? Yeah, it's because I got bored, I got burned out. But now I think I know why. The answer is simple, the lack of fun and challenging end game content. When you look at the content the game offers to the average joe when they hit 100, it is very limited. For one you have pvp, which tbh is pretty much a joke. You have grinding for gear and 101, but let's be honest if you just hit 100 by grinding your ass off that's not the first thing you want to do. Now what most people would call end game content are things like Qira, Weeble or that legendary island thing whatever it is. However, each and every one of those has been soloed within a month or so release. And then you have replaying the game. I can see this being fun once, twice or maybe even three times, but with the extremely small and linear questing system Wynn offers it takes that appeal away.

Some of you might be thinking that I am just bitching for the sake of bitching, but I have a suggestion as well (or else I won't be able to post this thread in suggestions.) Now if any of you have ever played World of Warcraft this idea might sound familiar, but mega dungeons, or as they are known in WoW raids. These would be massive dungeons that contained several bosses, puzzles and rooms full of mobs. These would now only push players to perform their best, but would also force them to work together, create strategies, and communicate. Looking yet another layer deeper, killing the idea of speed runs. Speed runs while on paper are an unharmful thing, take a challenge and take the challenge out it, it simply becomes a chore. And I totally understand why people do it. You want an item or a piece of gear and you will of course take the shortcut, but then everyone else will be taking that shortcut and therefore have that piece of gear and so on. So, what one could do to stop this is create stage based bosses. Hasher is great example of this. He is a boss that you fight like any other, but once he dies or is brought down to a certain percentage the floor drops and you fight him again but with different more challenging mechanics. Now think of that but on steroids.

In the end, I only want the best for Wynn, and though I may not be an active member of the community anymore I know there are plenty of you out there.

I think the CT are definitely aware of a lack of endgame stuff/boring boss fights, they've been hearing it time and time again with these threads.
This stuff does take time, especially if you want to meet the expectations of many.
Though I guess another one doesn't hurt.

It used to be 100, I think lag was the reason it was lowered to 60, hopefully we'll have 100+ player worlds again someday, it does feel empty at times.

TL;DR add raid bosses/dungeons as endgame content

Y'know, bosses that aren't just tough to solo, but actually impossible, for once. Hell, even if they go overboard and give it a thousand billion health then it'll just become a bigger goal. Underestimating the players is what's lead to many attempted "raid" bosses just being easily solo-able. The solution is then to just go ballistic.

You are not really suggesting anything, apart from a beefed up csst.
I made a post that you can find here which kind of goes into more detail about this kind of idea.

Sure, but when everything so far hasn't even been close to enough, ramping it up isn't a bad idea.
