This idea isnt new at all, but you guys havent seen it at all, so here it is:

Please add a chat filter...

And anyone who swears on this post

 

No the fact wynncraft doesn't have a chatfilter is amazing. You can just say whatever you want without some stupid chatfilter blocking you.

Yeah that's true but we can trust them to not randomly mute people

Not entirely sure why you'd want a chat filter on the forums, unless this is mis-flaired, but this isn't a kiddie server, and there's no reason to block swears. Most people don't even do it for much other reason than to have more emphasis, so it's not like there's an overdose of rude language. It's against the rules to be overly rude or spam swears or anything else, too, so there's no worry for stuff like that in the first place.

If you meant this to be for the server and not the forums, than a toggle command would be fine, but nothing more.

 

Isn't there already a "/toggle swear" command?

You guys, Wynncraft is supposed to be child friendly, and I suppose we should do something about people who go spamming the F word everywhere?

 

Wynn, since the beginning, was made to be a server for 13+ year olds, even the game itself isn't child-friendly, with dark themes like demonic worship, killing, corruption (both literal and metaphorical!), greed, etc.
It was never supposed to be child-friendly at all, it's not our goal to appeal to the majority of Minecraft players, AKA children.

Swearing is completely allowed on Wynncraft and its forums, I believe it even states so in the rules.

And making Wynncraft "child friendly" is basically impossible if there's a hobbit house with a potato recipe that states: stick um inass

You can toggle swears in-game but you probably already knew that.

But Wynn is far from child friendly, as stated before it has a really dark tone to the game such as the constant reference insanity to even torture. Not to mention there are some mobs with extremely disturbing backgrounds, such as the kappa found in the dark forest and some parts in the light forest. I would also like to point out Shattered Minds, a quest where you "420 blazeit". I could write a paragraph of the many reasons why Wynn isn't kid friendly but I'm pretty sure what I've stated so far makes a valid point.

If you can't do that toggle swears. It's a freedom that many of us appreciate

 

the game doesn't have much swears and you can toggle them in game

you can mute people on the forums, we have an ignore button.

Yes, but that's on a per-person basis. It doesn't stop players from talking, it stops you from seeing it.

 

if you don't want them to talk report them and if the accusations are true they might get banned
