World Timmy Tod The Tax Collector

Maybe make it so that only certain mobs drop emeralds too? Obviously this would have to be done very well in order for it to work, but it would help. Not to mention that people would then value junk items more because they can still be traded in for emeralds.

 

hmm lets say we have Person A and Person B
Person A has 64 stacks of le
Person B has 24 le
say the day the tommy tim tod thing comes, person A loses 819 le, while person bee loses 4.8 le
however they both get the same exact item.
Even though i dont agree with the idea, maybe make this tommy tim tod thing give a diffirent token depending on how much le is lost
or make it a set value, like an le a month

this is just an annoyance every month having to give out some LE. We shouldn't have to pay to play.
Also a problem is that what if you did become bankrupt b4 the tax collector? are you forced to stay in this room?
You can't pay yourself out if you can't make any money. (correct me if im wrong about how it works)
Also it doesn't make that much sense if people are getting stuff for paying there taxes
"Ok you paid your taxes on time! Here's your money back plus an extra 2,000 dollars!"
also why have more than 1 reward for paying
the tower thing has nothing to do with tommy tim tod thing, because its not taxing you...

This seems complicated, and hard to implement without bugs. Additionally, players would get quite mad at this and maybe even stop playing the server all together. Despite this, you shouldn't be discouraged by the negative feedback. Instead it should embolden you to create better suggestions! Hope to see you again soon!

I understand that you believe that many players have too much money and stuff, but with this Tax thing, it probably make the economy out if whack.

 

Okay you guys ONCE AGAIN after I come back from 1 day of sleep, point out things which I already noticed, Gave suggestions, or performed the Ad Hominum fallacy.

Here is the thing, you lose money and yes, no legend can make up for a lost strati. HOWEVER, you only lose 20% of your money, so how long will it take to get it back? Just maybe 1 week. But now here it is.
The tax collector takes 20%. Yes, this is true. You could easily take a good legend and sell it for more money. Ta Da.
Otherwise, it is made for people to lose money because that could stop so many bad things, even if they cross out some good.

Is this criticism, or you being mad if you lose said LE? You are being salty, not actually saying WHY this idea is bad. You just dont want to lose money because you want more for some crap reason.

Finally, a suggestion.
maybe 10% would be a good idea. That would still balance the economy, and make it so that people lose less stuff.

Consequences if you do not pay tax:

Cannot enter ANY town until you pay tax at the the Ragni Castle tax room. Ive thought about it and you should be able to pay the same tax any time of month at the same price at Ragni. This will be the only city you can enter. However, if you do not pay by the end of the month, all Blue Nametaged Mobs [Guards] Will be ordered to jail you and lock you in the tax room on sight.

Only at the 1st of every month. Im saying its like income tax: You lose 2LE, yes, but in 31 days you cant earn 5 back?

They no longer get the same item, as said above.
If you get bankrupt before the tax collector he will take 10% of nothing.
You get different ITEMS but your EMERALDS are being removed.
The tower was just another idea.
If we dont charge players, then we would just have a mass of maybe 100Million stacks of LE lying everywhere. Just a matter of time.

Only for the month. You pay the tax, and if it sees it took max LE from you it doesnt clear your inventory of LE, it gives you a pass for your other classes which might be storage so you can bypass tax.

Taxes won't balance the economy. Burning of mythics will.

You don't choose to pay how much tax tho. Some rewards that cost lower are better.

But why lose money at all? That's also only a 3le profit, and not much to most people. This makes nothing happen and players would want to quit to a stupid feature.

This matter of time would be longer than the time it takes for a player to quit. as said in quote, inflation can be fixed in other ways

But the rate is way too high.
Currently I have 5 stacks of Le, how would I make back a stack in a month when everyone just lost a ton of money?
After 6 months this will get rid of around 3/4 of the current Le reserves.

 

Yeah sure, you get lots of mythics which is op on its own. But because people are losing so much money no one may be able to afford it. The most money I've made in a day is 1 stack but that was the day corkus came out. minus the quest money i made around 10 or 15 le perhaps. A stratiformis can go for lets say 20 stacks these days if its godly and getting 20 stacks is no easy job. But losing so much money could easily make no one able to afford it, causing mythics to drop in price.

Look, rather than trying to fight the criticism you should take it in and either create a new and improved suggestion or improve off of this one. Getting your suggestion put in the game is probably more rare than getting a mythic. The content team looks for perfected/near perfected work to add to wynncraft and if all you're getting is criricism then you need to do something about it rather than fighting it, because right now, its not working for you.
