Yes I know, this has been posted before, but it was kind of killed by...

However, I think the issue needs to be brought up again, with the new rebalancing. If you haven't heard already, hive items are being redone, not to nerf them, but to reduce the overall synergy between them, as they were never meant to be used together. They are getting the requirements upped from 33->40 in each used element, and the elemental damages and defences are being redone(also hive spear buff) Read more about it here: https://forums.wynncraft.com/threads/special-warning.183776/page-22/

I propose that when the actual change takes place(likely during the 1.17 update) we allow players to trade back in their hive armour(not weapon/accessories, armour is what really got changed), and get back a master voucher. It would basically work like the weapons in the quest, Elemental Exercise. This would not be permanent and would only last 2weeks-1 month.

Pros:
+Allows players to trade back in their hive item to one that fits there build better
+May increase the spotlight of overshadowed items in the hive story(anima...)

Cons
-Potential for abuse
-Removes some of the finality of hive items, as you are able to trade them to change

Well, there's not really much to say.

Items that are getting their stats changed will need to be dealt with in some way, and this seems fine, especially being a temporary thing. However, if the items are getting nerfed, there's a chance people won't want to trade the items back anyway, so that's an issue.

This will probably hinge on what the actual changes are, so I'd say it's on hold until the update actually happens.

While I don't think it's a perfect solution, not actually saying anything about the thread other than "been suggested before" (Which he pointed out and knew, so thanks for being captain obvious there) is really just not very helpful.

 

They should just make a merchant to trade the items until the last patch for the update.

That's why we need someone to spend fuck ton of time on helping the community, joining the build team, becomming GM, commandblocker, evetually becoming Admin and helping decied things for Wynn.
And eventually take all the work off of Francis and Make Wynn Great Again.
And also buff Mythics, becouse a lot of them are shit and overpriced.
Or we could do it less conventional and defentily more illegal way; but saying it's "illegal" is just subjective opinion. There are tons of laws put in place that either make no sense or damage the everyday man, so in sense it's okay to do "illegal activities" since a lot of laws are rigged. It's like pirateing nintendo games. It's perfectly morraly okay, becouse Nintendo themselves commit a lot of illegal acts themselves.
But you could say we shouldn't punish others becouse they wronged us; but once again it's just subjective point of view it doesn't really matter. What does matter? Nothing really as our existance is meaningless, we'll all die eventually, ALL OF US. Along with entire universe. Plus we don't have free will as it's only reactions to certain stimuly that we percive as free will. I didn't type all of that out of my own valition,. Neither did you read that. It's really hopeless, our existance. It's just pain annd suffering for our entire lives. Well mostly for intellegent people. Stupid people don't experience sorrow. They do experience pain and suffering, but they don't understand why. We're doomed to live theese awfull lives, with no reward at the end.
You might belive in the afterlife but that's illogical. We've dissproven religion countless of times. Every holy book has part that are wrong. And how a boook that's been written by God or his prophets be wrong? It would only made sense if the God himself would be wrong, but that can't be possible becouse he's God. Therfore god doesn't exsist.
Also water is not, that's fucking stupid. Water can wet things it itself is not wet.
Also this can't be a shitpost becouse I and many other pottential people find this post worthwile and making sense. Therefore it's not meaningless. Although of course it is meaningless in the long run, becouse everything is meaningless.

You have seen the changes, right? You're not explaining anything whatsoever other than saying there are cons to it which, of course, it does. Anything like this does, but at least invest more than 30 seconds when you want to shut a suggestion down.

Yeah, but now it's especially relevant to do because the change may have broken some builds that people bought specific hive items for and can no longer use them.

@Pokextreme one thing I want to add. I would make two merchants (one for armour -> voucher and another for vice versa) but specifically, make the item you get from giving up an armour piece spendable at one of the merchants for another piece of armour only.

You can't rule out there are people that wants to change other Hive items into armors since the charges in armors are more than just a nerf

I don't know how this could be made but maybe you can only trade back 1 Hive item per item you have, idk if its clear but basically here is an example :

Khaps has done Hive 5 times (but lost 1 item cuz of glitch dahddzajb but we're not going to care about that) so he has 4 Hive items wich have been nerfed and he wants to exchange, so he goes to an exchanger (or idk wat) and is able to trade his 4 hive items for 4 other hive items, after doing that trade, he won't be able to trade again.

 

Make the armour you get from the exchanger merchant have a special tag that doesn't match the armour you get from the original madter hive merchant.

That way the update merchant (if I had a dollar every fuckin time I said merchant) who trades armour to the special voucher type won't trade back in the 'new' armour you got.

The tag doesn't have to be visible (but there should be one to have some sort pf way for players to know. Perhaps a [2] tag like how it would appear for rerolls, but instead of it being on the line with the rarity, it would be on the line with "Untradeable".

 

Just make it so that you can trade it for another hive item for the price of 1le or at least some type of cost
