Honestly they should do like Mojang.
Mojang planned 1.13 to be the "Technical/Optimization" update, and they'll (probably) try to fix most of the glitches they can.
Wynn should do the same, I'm hoping the code rework will allow for more IDs and stuff

The content team has no control over the economy or the drop rates or the code.

The content team can only work on builds, quests, mobs, items, new areas.

The Dev team (Jumla, Apollo) are working on fixing bugs and mechanics and other goodies which will be revealed in time.

Please remember that the dev team and the content team are not the same and they do different things.

I didn't mean that they should/could replace Mythics entirely, I mean that future dungeon items could act as decent alternatives to Mythics, for poor players.

Mage's heal does not heal for 100% lol. Depends on your health, the lower your health is the less it regenerates back. Really annoying to get stuck on 1 heart.

Technically they did make an update revolving the many issues and feedback they got from the community, but that is a pretty long time ago, so there are definitely new issues that popped out now compared to then.

First we have to fix the bugs involving the classes, mainly the warrior ones.
I do also believe that mage is getting a heal revamp, unless that already happened, I can't quite remember fully so forgive me if I am remembering incorrectly.
After the bugs are fixed for the classes and more feedback is given I will talk to Salted about rebalancing them and what you guys want, but as of right now it is best for the issues with them to be fixed before any changes are made.

I agree, it would be nice to have more things for identifications, but it would also end up being a little difficult to implement them, it would mean that the 1000+ or so items would have to be changed to compensate for them, unless there is an easier way to add that line Selvut would know the proper answer more than me.
But several problems I see with this is, we'd have to figure out new IDs, more items would have to be created for this ID, old items have to be adjusted to account for this ID, and the old items in general might all have to be edited to include the line for this ID.
Yes it would be absolutely wonderful to have an expansive library of different little special things for your weapons and armor, but realistically it might not be that easy to do so at all and most likely something that will occur in the far future.

This is something you will have to bring to @Selvut283 about, he's the only one that does the items.
I agree that in an ideal game it is nice to have a lot of different options to play and different crazier combinations, but you're right that it is hard especially when the classes and the items themselves are geared towards a specific playstyle that will make it a lot easier to play.

PvE is something that can be easy to some people hard to others, but overall it really depends on how you play, what your class is, and what your armor is.
If we buff mobs then it will become a lot harder to others to actually do anything, and buffing mobs usually means more dmg output and more health so it's kind of a dumb buff imo.
I feel like it does get easier over time because you usually get used to how it works and what the mobs you're fighting do. I could be wrong on this, but it does feel like it stems from the lack of mob variation and what exactly they can do.

PvP is something that we cannot help as of right now, but we do have plans for.
We are absolutely aware that PvP sucks, and that's because everything is designed for PvE with PvP being an afterthought.

Can't really fix other people being greedy or wanting more just to have more. That's just how they are deep down.
It does suck that there is a small group of people that seem like they have all the mythics, I personally don't enjoy it that much myself but they managed to get the mythics by either grinding, item bombs, or trading so there's not much that can be done about it.
Giving a mythic to everyone would also be a little broken, it still is supposed to be that hidden gem that you get and something that is supposed to make you feel pretty powerful.
And unfortunately because mythics are controlled by RNG then you honestly do just need to get lucky.

We have a rough idea of what we want to do with the economy, but it is going to take a long time for it to happen.
I will still bring those issues to Salted though so we can consider more options on what to do.

I agree the end-game is lacking right now. Once you get to 100 and do all the quests and meet your goal then what is there to do? I'm kind of in the same spot right now honestly, so I can't give a solid answer on how this can be fixed.
But it would be nice to have something to do after 100 other than another quest or a place to fight mobs, because after a while it does get a little boring.
I am hoping that once guilds are fixed it will serve that goal of giving the players something to do for the end game but guilds aren't for everyone.
There does need to be more ways for people to earn emeralds so end game stuff involving that would be amazing imo.

We do have testers, it is the QA team. Currently we go through quests and try to balance them or make sure that they're actually enjoyable.
And as of right now the only way to get into the QA team is to be in the content team or the mod team, this is because testing is something that we don't want just anyone to apply for, just to play the new stuff then vanish.
While it is ideal for everything to be solid for every update it is unrealistic. With a QA team of a few people compared to a server of thousands, in the end you guys will find more issues later on. The QA team can't find them all but we try to find as many as we can and make sure things are solid. And as far as I am aware Selvut is indeed making changes to items and rebalancing them.
I believe I mentioned in a previous response that we are going to make some changes to PvP in the future to make it better for players.

For the location problems CT does not change the code so they have to otherwise they'll be doing nothing.
Jumla and other devs will have to take care of the mechanics and how things work while the CT just gives more for the player to do.

I agree, that this game has huge potential, but you also have to remember, the entire content team and mod team are made up of volunteers that want to help out. They can't always do things the right way or might not understand the gameplay design of things, sometimes they just want to make a unique quest or a cool looking build.
We also currently only have 2 devs working on the code, fixing it up, hopefully once it is cleaned up we can hire more devs to start working on adding new mechanics and features.
But in the end, this is a Minecraft server full of kids making the game and it is quite hard to do.

I would not be shocked if I missed something or misinterpreted something, so in advance I am sorry that I did and will make corrections.

    Amazing reply!
Some stuff you wrote made me really hyped.

Just to clear things about mythics. I don't think everyone should get them. I just feel they are too RNG and require no skill to obtain.
If I could e.g. disenchant and craft a mythic, that would be cool. Just to have a goal I can work for and know my grinding isn't for nothing.

But yeah, appreciate the respond, it was better than I anticipated.
    Cheers!

It's a weird balance I guess. You want to keep it RNG to make it all the more special when you find one in the wild or finally get them because of how rare they are.
But if you make it craftable it would lose it's special quality that makes it really rare to get and easily obtainable.
Yeah it would be nice for people that worked hard to get one, but it's kind of hard to do that without making them less special.

Also, don't forget some of the stuff I mentioned might not come around or might be different than you imagined or may take a lot longer to actually do.
Basically prepare for disappointment just in-case.

Assassin is alright, at least that's what others tell me. It's cata that needs nerfing.
Mage is OP with his healing, no debate about it.

Plz no face nerf, it's at pretty bad state as it is :(

2 hits from every boss is 2 hits more than archer can afford.
Also I do 4k bomb arrows and I'm supposed to have higher dmg than mage, while I can't heal. Yeah, mage needs a nerf, at least healing does.

AND NO! I love my cringy gifs!

I guess I'll weigh in a few thoughts too but Pretz did cover most of what I have to say.

Class Imbalances: Yeah, there's definitely some problems with class balance right now. A lot of it comes from the sheer variety of gear, allowing people to create some builds that can do things we never intended, such as heal-tanking. There are definitely some balancing problems, along with some bugs to fix that create said problems, but I do think this has to be taken a bit slowly, huge nerfs or buffs usually don't end up with a good result unless absolutely necessary.

Skill variety: Pretty much what Pretz said. While more variety is definitely something that would be great, it has to be handled carefully so people don't discover a new way to achieve one of the more overpowered builds that we have now.

Not enough varied options: I think this kind of goes back to your previous two points. We've done our best to make items as varied as we can with what we have, but obviously some new stats or IDs or whatever are needed to make items more interesting, which again have to be approached carefully.

PvE is too easy: Pretty much what Pretz said. It's a very tough balance to achieve when there are still plenty of people who are struggling a bit more. In the meantime, we are trying to supplement this with harder challenges throughout the game, such as boss altars, and endgame challenges such as Legendary Island.

Mythics: Pretz pretty much said it better than I could.

Economy: Yeah this is a tricky one, but as Pretz said we do plan to fix it.

End-game content: Yeah there's definitely a content drought once you hit level 100. Legendary Island is only just a single new piece of content, even if it does take a lot more time than most other things. But it was never intended as the end-all solution to the endgame problem, just one way of helping it. It does seem to be doing about as well as we hoped on its own though, so I do think it's progress. But hopefully in the future you will be seeing more ways of having fun in the endgame.

PVP: As Pretz said, PVP is definitely a problem right now, but the main game usually comes first.

Beta testing/balancing: While Selvut does a phenomenal job at keeping most of the mobs and items in the game balanced and fun, he's far from the only person working to make sure the game stays balanced and polished. Like Pretz said, we have the QA team who are a SERIOUSLY huge help even if it's not very visible. And again, we have the devs to work on the code bits. Hopefully with the "code refactor" project that's been mentioned a few times, we can start getting many of the dev-side issues sorted out a lot quicker.

In conclusion, your feedback is appreciated. A lot of these are issues that we've known about for a while, which hopefully means we'll also be on the same page when it comes to the solutions. We can't really say when those improvements will happen right now, but hopefully soon.
