    Hello!

Most people probably don't know me, but I like to do random things, and every once in a while I come up with an idea I think is really good, so here it is:

So how this would work is that a ton of different "re-skins" for the four basic classes would be released, but instead of just having the same abilities as normal characters, their spells would be adapted. This way of making new classes would make it a lot easier in some ways, as you wouldn't need to mess with adding new items for the most part. The things I'm going to cover on how this works are how you get these classes, what would need to be added for them to work correctly, and why this is better than what people want to do now.

    1# Unlocking The Classes

To unlock these classes you can do a number of things. For one, you could get them by getting some character to level 100, which would unlock another one for you to play. Another way is that you could complete quests to get them, for instance, completing the quest "Canyon Condor" which would give you another version of the assassin known as the bandit. The last way is that you could get them through achievements, such as completing a dungeon enough times would let you get a character relating to that dungeon. Here are some examples of characters you could get:

    Bandit (Assassin Based)
    Unlocked from quest: Canyon Condor
    • Uses more earth and thunder based spells
    • Has a small increase to stealing
    Knight (Warrior Based)
Unlocked by: getting level 100 warrior (not rank)
    • Uses more air and thunder based spells
    • Has a small increase to health regen
    Hashr (Assassin Based)
Unlocked by: completing Sand-Swept Tombs and CSST
    • Uses only thunder based spells
    • Small bonus to walk speed and loot bonus
    2# Getting Them to Work

For these classes to work a few things would need to be done, number one alternate paths into Ragni would need to be made. Two, small changes to quests and what some NPCs say would need to be made. Then third, a few small items would need to be added here and there so that these new classes could fit more into the game. I'll use the same examples as I used above for this:

    Bandit
    • Would appear in an small cave above the caravan driver and be thrown out down onto the top on the caravan, to then wake up with no memory, due to the fall (the fall of this character was broken by a warrior who was in the cart). Note this entrance into the game could be used on a number of other classes like the bandit.
    Knight
    • could appear in the same way the original classes did.
    Hashr
    • Summoned out of a small cave bellow one of the lakes in the area, this class is sent to fix the wrongs they have committed. This entrance would work for all evil creatures and bosses.

3# How is This Better Than What is Done Now?

These class ideas, as said at the beginning, all could be added without hundreds of new items to accompany them. This also means that they would not hurt the wynncraft economy to much, or cause as much stress when being made. They do have the down side of being difficult to relate to lore in some cases, but that only happens for some characters. The knight for example, already is a character and so it obviously fits in. However using the character Hashr is less likely to work out for the lore, and would most likely be used as something fun for people to play as.

Overall, the addition of these types of new classes would be easier and faster in most ways than what people suggest now.

    WARNING: WALL OF TEXT INCOMING

The above comments does not show any hate, or any synonyms of it. It shows the issues with the previous post, not "omg i haet dis u succ". I tend to find alot of people misinterpret the two, so I thought I'd clarify. The OG idea would actually break the EULA, so it's good you changed it.
That aside, I'd prefer a full class instead of "reskins (which they objectively aren't. Clarification below)."

By definition, a reskin is just that; a cosmetic change to their appearance. If you edit even a slight change to their abilities (i.e: they have even 1% extra WS, or a slight nerf to their spells), they are no longer one, and must take a separate slot. If a class adapts it, but doesn't mechanically act the same, it's not a reskin. For example, the Fencer/Industrialist in CC are the same characters/reskins as they have the same base stats and spells. Marth/Lucina or Ganon/Falcon in SSB aren't; they both share many attacks, but have slightly altered stats, attacks, and/or hitboxes. Rather, they are considered clones, which is an entirely different thing than reskins.

Even then, the classes you suggested do not have a specific weakness; they are only buffed versions of their OG counterpart. For example, the Warrior class is generally the slowest character (not counting spells, based on an even playing field of LvL 100), but can take alot of hits as well as dealing moderate/severe damage. Your Knight class (which FYI, is already a reskin currently in the game. You seem to have mentioned that in the thread as well.) doesn't share the same strengths and weaknesses to their cousin; it does more damage, but it doesn't take more compared to the Warrior. The Bandit also doesn't share the same playstyle. You generally want to stay out of harm as an Assassin (playstyle being hit-and-run without any risks), but the Bandit appears to be able to take a slight risk, being able to kill quicker without having worse defenses/speed/etc. It doesn't have a weakness compared to it's counterpart. Add specific disadvantages to each class, or make them exactly the same as the OG class. It's a matter of balances VS proper reskins.

It doesn't really fit with the lore (you already mentioned this), but I can't really explain too much on the Hashr/Bandit part due to a lack of lore I can find. The player is a recruit from Fruma who has been sent to fight off the corruption of Wynn with no memory of their past. Neither of the two assassin reskins/clones fit this, as it is unknown whether or not they are fighting for or against it. Besides, if someone was playing as Hashr and went to the (C)SST, how would the boss react? Would it decline the player to access, or would it allow Hashr to fight him/herself (which would be subjectively weirder)? Would the Bandit in WotM allow the player(who would be playing as Bandit) to access to tomb earlier than expected (skipping over the Pink Wool part), or play through the quest as normal?

I actually spent alot of time typing this out, and attempting to claim my side. Please attempt to refute my claims or fix them, rather than calling hate out where hate was not given. I cannot support this as of yet (or possibly at all), but you could probably work a bit more on fixing the issues given and listed throughout the OP and this comment. If I missed something in this comment (i.e: improper spelling, missed a word, etc), please let me know so I can fix it.

tl;dr: Make them actual reskins or clones with a certain weakness to balance their strengths compared to their OG class, and make it be more in line with the lore. I can't support this suggestion as of now.

    not as good as spinz.io

    But is this really neccesary?
Adding more reskins with a teeny bit of difference in spell damage..

Is it just me who doesn't want this?

Like if it was like a crate reward or something just to be cosmetic maybe, or maybe cosmetic quest reward

But I feel making these teeny gameplay changes is more trouble than it is actually worth

I can see that my idea is being lost to people... I'll try to explain a bit differently:

1# Basic idea is for new classes to be made with already created weapons, as to lessen changes that new items would cause to the game. Everything else with the idea was just to attract people to thread and really isn't the main idea. A bit more detail though on what has been said:
    • The "classes" which i have stated above are completely not thought out, they were supposed to help people understand what this was, not the real thing.
    • The "Please Don't Hate" was because I knew that someone would say that this is trash, not that those people above that had said anything wrong about this that was rude.
    • This is NOT a total re-skin, but i used that idea so that people would follow what I'm saying. I know that Hashr would never be a play-able character, and I know that the idea of the Bandit is very unbalanced (Also yes, I have a knight character, so I know it is something which is a part of the game already). The idea was that these character would be ideas for what could be done with this.
    • Oh yea, the way this works is that these new things (Any that could be created), would be new types of characters, which would have different spells, base stats, ect. however they would use the basic 4 class's weapons. I thought that this would make all of those character ideas that people had much easier to actually make, as there wouldn't need to be any new items for them.

I will TRY to show an example, but done say "This is unbalanced" or something similar which is about this example, as it is only their to show the most basic idea behind this:

    Bandit
    • Uses Assassin weapons
    • Stats:
    Damage: [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ]
    Defense: [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ]
    Range: [ ]
    Spells: [ ] [ ] [ ]
    • Spells (all level 3):
    Ransack:
A weak Thunder Earth spell which hits opponents until out of the range of their melee hits, or it reaches 15 hits

    Theft:
A neutral damaging hit which pulls the player towards a nearby enemy, which on contact steals mana and hp from the hit mob. If no mob is present it gives the player and all allies a small boost to speed and jump height for 25 seconds

    Over-kill:
A massive Thunder hit which does massive damage to one selected mob, then if the mob is killed splashes small amounts of thunder damage onto nearby enemies, this process continues if those enemies are killed

    Barb:
Places a small particle square onto the ground below the character. When touched by enemies it does massive thunder and earth damage, then gives them slowness and Weakness for 3 seconds. Only one can be placed at a time, and old ones will explode when a new one is placed, causing a small amount of thunder and air damage.

The Bandit starts out with 20% stealing, 15% loot bonus, and 10% walk speed

NOTE: These ideas probably suck, but the point of this is to show that the differences are bigger than what people are thinking. The only thing which didn't change was that the weapon is just the dagger.

I am sorry that this thread was written badly (or people just thought it is stupid), but I think that what i said should be more precise with this (if not then I'll be really confused)

    PS: what spinz.io?

Again, I know it is op but the class i put is NOT a real thing (nor should it be), it is used to show that new characters won't be exactly the same as the four basic characters as it was said many times above.

Bandit is obviously op, and is a design I came up with in 3 minutes with no planing ahead. I simply used it to make the concept of how different new characters could be.

If you want me to make a class I can put actual effort into making it fit with the lore and actually be planned out, but that isn't the point of this post. The point of this post is to get the idea that new classes could be made easier if they didn't use all new weapon types., everything else about this post is to attract attention to it, so that it will be remembered.
