World Dueling Revamp

    Basics: Betting, Stat Boosts, and Prevention of Abuse

    Betting: There is no benefit right now to dueling, making the whole idea seem pointless unless you want to mess around with your mates. I think the whole idea of bonuses to dueling would improve Wynncraft. I believe adding emerald and Item betting to dueling adds a risk factor that makes the whole thing more entertaining. This makes people want to strategize and think about their decisions during duels and could possibly give an adrenaline rush. Both parties agree on the bets similar to the way trades work and the winner takes all.

    Stat Boosts: After winning a duel you get nothing, but I believe that implementing a system where when you win you gain a random stat boost and when you lose you get a random stat deduction like how when you identify items and they have added strength and defenses or deduct movement speed. These would be small reductions. I also think that implementing an item to save said stat boosts like a duel ring, necklace, or bracelet, would benefit Wynncraft. This all adds added benefits to the dueling system and to add a more entertaining aspect to Wynncraft and to increase retention to the server.

    Prevention of Abuse: Just as xp is better for battling enemies close to your level, the stat boosts are better the closer you are to the level. This prevents taking advantage of low levels and preventing high level boosting for low levels. It makes the exchange have less rewarding when a reward is involved. Also because you lose items and stats it makes boosting dangerous for those doing it. Setting a minimum betting limit for levels also makes it dangerous to boost. Also implementing a trade cool down for won items creates it to where it is more difficult to grind and boost. Finally the biggest thing is making cool down for dueling the same people.

    But that defeats the poin of testing builds if you get stat boosts even if they are small.
    Also you need to add more detail, What are the chances of different boosts? Will it be unique of something in the game already.

    3. Wynn isn't a PvP game. It has a few features for those that want a PvP experience, but the game is not oriented around it at all

    I was thinking of a 1% increase or decrease depending on victory or loss on any already existing stats if the person you are battling is within a 5 level range. So any stats that you can gain by leveling wont be implemented in the percentage boosts.

    duel's aren't meant to be competitive. They are more for just testing out builds against ele tanks before boss fights or entering the nether.

    That doesn't prevent abuse. You can still grind the stats with an alt.

    Duels are kind of both...
    I like to fight my friends to prove that my build is better than theirs.
    But I still think that this suggestion wouldn't add much too the game.
