Game Design Soulpoints Hate

so if you are a low-lvl player you probably hate soulpoints,me too,the question is why this exists?is basically something that makes you stop playing,like,you grind a lot to get an item and just lose it,if you are low-lvl,you have only 10 soulpoints,this doesnt make any sense,you dont have good gear,you will die fast and lose items.i think they should remove soulpoints,if you think not pls comment why because this doesnt make any sense.

Then there would be literally no punishment for death. You could die as much as you want, and then keep playing. It completely ruins part of the immersion.

 

If there are no soul points there would be practicly no punishment to dying.

You'll have sp if you don't die

 

with 15 sp and good gear its easy,make a character from scratch and dont use your bank,you will see that is boring because you cant play

 

if your low level, soul points don't matter.

to prevent /kill warping, its also a punishment, think before you charge this dungeon for 24189503- times and then stop yourself from playing.

 

yes remove soul points just make everyone die instantly in a loop.


but like seriously dying is part of the game and adds a small element of risk into the game to make it more exciting.

 

The point of soul points is not to annoy you and lose your stuff
It's for a death penalty
Also a lot of valuable items wont even drop, such as horses, mythics, and untradable items.
Items that are valuable such as legendarys that can drop only drop if you have 5 sp or less

The real question is have you ever stopped playing a game because you didnt like the death system and losing stuff for dying?

People can also abuse this, too
They can use /kill whenever they like
They can use scrolls without losing a soul point

The game wouldnt be challenging enough
also at lower levels you have a lower chance of losing stuff

Penalty for dying, as your not supposed to die

/kill abuse and skill reset abuse

people who acctually played the game will possibly stop playing, as soul points make you determined to not die

as a lvl 101, dying is acctually a bit more risky at higher levels
whats easier, trying to kill a lvl 2 zombie with 15 health at level 5
or
attempting beat the orange cybel (more than 1000000 health i think infact the orange wybel (easier version) has 1450000 health) at lvl 90

Like i said above, you lose more stuff if you die at higher levels.
Pretty sure salted or glitchedslay idk cleared this up

so uh yeah theres your answer to why they shouldn't get rid of soul points

not to mention a while ago in 1.14.1 they changed the system so if theyre making updates i dont think there gonna get rid of it

 

I did start a new class, other than some boss fights and me not paying attention I haven't died

 

dunno even though i have been here since the very start when wynn was totally new (by before quests ya know)

but im guessing its for avoid people of abusing from kill, since it would let you go from a place to another place easily
this is a way to say: you can abuse death as much as you want, but you will regret later or sooner...

Mythics drop, I saw @Selvut283 saying yesterday that them tested it and they drop.

 

First, please fucking fix your grammar.
Why do we have soul points?
We could take advantage if we had no soul points
Ya know why? Because then we could quick travel without paying (go close to a city & do /kill you basically get in.)
And well... there would be no challenge at all.

The decision to not play is something chosen by you.
You have 4sp.
Risk it or play it safe?
That's up to you.
Soul points are not restricting you from playing (unless you're on 1.. and care about your items). You are.

 

Soul points regenerate every twenty minutes or 1 every offline hour, so it's not that bad to just wait for a bit.
