Alright, as we all know, Weapon powder specials have an indicator to show you how many more hits you need to use the special, but Armor powder specials don't have an indicator for their effects, at all.

I know, they're supposed to be passive, and I know me and other people here can do the mental math, but despite that, a feature like this would be nice and convenient especially for those whose builds rely on Armor powder specials.

These Armor powder special indicators would work similarly in which they will be placed on the HUD above the Player's hotbar, if a Player isn't utilizing any Armor powder specials, no indicators will be shown.

[NOTE]: Passives like Fire, Water, Thunder, and Air will stay invisible in the HUD unless activated, while Earth will basically always stay visible unless a Player's HP is full due to the way it's passive works.

I'm also just going to use the same cropped picture of my HUD for all the example pictures, for my sake at least.

The indicator for Rage would be at the left side of the Player's HP. Something like this:

upload_2017-5-13_14-12-13.png Where X= The current damage boost you have based on missing HP.

[NOTE]: The picture below may not be 100% accurate to my expectation due to me not being able to fit it nicely between the coords and the mana bar, realistically, it should fit itself between the sprint bar/coords and the mana bar whenever it activates.

upload_2017-5-13_14-20-16.png Where X= The current damage boost you have based on the number of mob kills.

The indicator for Concentration would be at the right side of the mana bar, as demonstrated here:

upload_2017-5-13_14-28-22.png Where X= The damage boost you have based on the amount of mana used.
(The countdown should also show the decimal numbers as it counts down to zero, like 0.6s for example)

The indicator for Endurance would also be at the the left side of the Player's HP, like this:

upload_2017-5-13_15-3-41.png Where X= The damage boost you have based on the hits you took or something.

[NOTE]: The picture below may not be 100% accurate to my expectation due to me not being able to fit it nicely between the coords and the mana bar, realistically, it should also fit itself between the sprint bar/coords and the mana bar whenever it activates.

upload_2017-5-13_15-12-14.png Where X= The damage boost you have based on how close you are to a mob or something.
And where Y= The damage boost duration because it's different between powder tiers I guess.

I am no coder, but concerning implementation the coding should be very similar to the way Weapon powder special indicators display, again, I'm no coder.

And if for some reason your build utilizes different Armor powder specials, the indicators will simply appear in their respective spots.

The HUD may be a little cluttered with a feature like this, especially if you want to utilize multiple armor Powder specials. Unfortunately, this was the most efficient way I could see this suggestion if it were to be considered.
If the indicators were instead displayed on a scoreboard, it would be very awkward to quickly move your eyesight to the left just to see if any passives were activated or not.

EDIT: As people have requested and have an example of, they could also include an alternate, toggleable way of displaying the indicator with a scoreboard instead of the HUD, view post #11 and post #16 on this thread for more info concerning this.

TL;DR: How about you go be a big boy and read the whole thing, fuckboy.

Nah jk Actual TL;DR: Add indicators for armor powder specials.
    Thanks ganon

    Have a nice day.

Having a TL;DR is never a bad thing, and will only ever help you. Telling people to go read it and insulting them will never help you.

As for the actual suggestion, it's fine. The only possible issue concerns actually being able to have such indicators on the HUD, but that can probably be fixed with coding and plugins anyway.

I like your suggestion. I don't use Armor Specials very much myself, but I do see why it could be useful for someone who is.
However, the area of the HUD above the hotbar is already cluttered and fills up a lot of the screen, especially for someone having a lot of health that takes up space, like me. I think it would be better if the suggested feature was placed in a transparent, or invisible, scoreboard on the side of the screen, alongside other things like the Weapon Special Indicator and maybe even a full time sprint bar (visible even when inactive). Then implement a system that allows the player to toggle certain elements of the HUD on and off to their liking. I am not sure how this will be coded, but I guess it could work similar to the "/toggle" feature.
This would make more space for more useful information on-the-go, just like the Armor Special, and tidy up the HUD to the liking of each player.

Wait what, armor powder specials have a use? I thought they were just decoration.

    Jk
Good idea +1 always wanted when they would activate to see how useful they are.

Like I've stated in the OP, putting these indicators and the sprint bar in a scoreboard would feel kind of messy, for the reason that trying to move your vision towards the scoreboard would feel distracting, especially in an intense environment, where keeping watch of your HP, sprint bar, and any possible indicators at the same time is a near necessity.

And as I've also stated in the OP, most of these indicators when not in use, like the sprint bar, will not be visible in the HUD, freeing some clutter when the player isn't in combat.

I know I've always been a little behind when it comes to the "meta", but is it even viable to use more than 2 Passives? It just seems useless to me to have an Armor powder special per armor piece because first, they're really not that powerful if they're confined to only one armor piece, and second, don't the passives only do elemental damage based on which element it is?

If I use a weapon with Water damage, and utilize 4 passives, with one of them being Concentration, won't Concentration be the only one that boosts my damage, while the others do jack shit?

I mean, I guess it could be a problem for rainbow builds that put different powders on their armor, but do people actually do that often? again, I've never been actively caught up with the meta 24/7.

I'll have to disagree with you on this. I do not see a necessity to monitor the elemental specials all the time. Not even in combat. The game is doing that for you.
The reason I would like it moved away from the hotbar, is that I don't like how I can't monitor the coordinates and direction of travel while sprinting, and that I have to cancel my weapon special everytime I have had to kill a hostile mob in my way during travel. I would also like to be able to monitor my sprint bar when it is recharging.
I was thinking the less important things, the things the game can keep track of for you, could be moved to another screen location just like how other games have a minimap, maybe ammo information, a chat, things like this, all in different corners of the screen.
I don't think this will create clutter as the individual elements of the HUD doesn't take up much space by themselves, and as long the scoreboard is invisible, or atleast close to, it will not take away anything from your FOV.

Something I wanted to do for release, but never found a good way to implement it. Even now, I still don't know. Your idea doesn't work at all if somebody decide to be wild and use 4 specials. Even if barely nobody will do that, we still need to design the GUI around it since we allow it. And even if we did it that way, people play at different screen resolution and it's likely to be too long for them to see everything, and of course it would be messy.

Would be nice to be able to position text on the screen wherever we want, that would fix the issue for sure.

A scoreboard listing helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots, with their powder specials beside it, and the info for each one under it, and make it toggleable for those who don't want it.

    Helmet ~ (Special)
    [!i!i!i!i!i!i!i!i!i!i!i!i!i]
    Chestplate ~ (Special)
    [!i!i!i!i!i!i!i!i!i!i!i!i!i]

    Leggings ~ (Special)

    Boots ~ (Special)

Or however you wanna do it.

Well, I suppose this could work as a compromise, what with it being toggleable and all.

Though, concerning your visual representation, it's a little incorrect, primarily the gauges, as the passives don't really "charge up" to a set amount like the Weapon powder specials do, they just sort of go on their own accord(?)

It would be better to use the little formulas I made in the OP, like Concentration's for example:

    [❉X%/1s]

(I should probably edit the OP to include the request of a toggleable scoreboard)
