    well, base damage * attack speed = dps, so 13 * 1.25 * 3 = 48.75 bomb arrow

    About your point on apoc dmg being ridiculous, that is not about the problem of archer
    that is, and well proven, the damage formula of damage being broken, a weapon with high base dmg, ignoring the attack speed, can do a lot damage against elemental defense, that should be in another topic since we are here to discuss about archer.

    And this should be the problem regarding archer, as @motoki1 mentioned up there, the class base defense of arcehr is wayyyy too low, it takes 60% more neutral dmg than warrior, while for my current warrior build, with 114 defense, which is 70.1% defense, including class base defense and war scream, it immue 100% neutral dmg from mobs, since mobs deal a large portion of neutral damage, but for archer, when you apply 114 defense, that with class base defense, only gives an archer 30.1% defense from mobs, meaning that you still take 70% neutral dmg even with that much defense.
    As we look at the spell, we can see archer
    arrowstorm: damage
    escape: mobility, close range control ( blind )
    bomb arrow: damage
    arrow shield: damage, close range control ( blind )

    3 main damage spell, 1 mobility spell, 2 CLOSE RANGE control spell
    yes that is correct, the spell that allows archer to blind mobs has to be activated close range.
    And when we look at arrowstorm, and arrow shield, these 2 spells are only effective at close range.
    and IMO for bomb arrow, this is also a close range kind of spell because when you try to spell it from a long range, the first one would first be despawned then the second arrow bomb fires.

    Here's what I come up with, archer is more like a close range class than a distanced range class which it was supposed to be do damage at long range. But if it approaches at close range, it is guarantee to take damage. When it comes to boss fighting, 1 to 2 hits with that low defense can already be leathal.

    And about archer mythics, we should not compare this to other class, instead we should compare it with legendaries and rares, it's not about the problem that archer mythic being too low on dps, it's about the legendaries doing too much damage

    It's because Archer Mythics bar Spring and Stratiformis are shit.

    If it was up to me, nerf all of the following Mythics:

    Spring
    Stratiformis
    Gaia
    Warp
    Monster
    Alkatraz
    Apocalypse
    Thrundacrack
    Cataclysm
    Grimtrap
    Weathered

    Also nerf the following Legendaries:

    Stinger
    Gale's Force
    Bonder
    Gemini
    Prism

    And various other things, like Stardust.

    PvE is a joke. Boss fights are tier stacking meta. PvP is either 10 seconds or 10 minutes.

    Nerf high damaging Weapons. Nerf elemental defensive Armor and Accessories. Close the damage gap between attack speeds.

    The fact that a helmet provides essentially +500 raw elemental defense AND 2/4s mana regen that is splashable in any build is disgusting.

    On the other hand there's items like Hetusol, a very solid Chestplate that dulls in comparison to Stardust. Any Armor that gives a total of +300 or higher elemental defense without any significant drawbacks should not exist. I get that elemental defense is the best counter to high damaging Mythics, but this is getting ridiculous. Average Mythic weapons are objectively leagues and bounds stronger than Legendary weapons. Nerf Mythics to be *slightly* stronger than Legendaries, nerf Elemental Defense to compensate for the damage drop. Only then can Wynn PvP go from 10% fair and 90% unfair to 40% fair and 60% unfair.

    It would create a new balance factor. When an item is created, its damage and ids are created based on the tier of item that it is. If its a tier thats higher than legendary but slightly less rare than mythic, it becomes more viable, and doesn't force mythics onto the metagame.

    Except Mythics are already circulating. The only way to get people to stop going after Mythics is to add a tier above Mythic.

    for melee
    ( elemental dmg - elemental def )
    ( elemental dmg * tier - elemental def )
    that itself is gonna fix alot of shit

    If a new tier is created between Legendary and Mythic, it should be a special tier that is exclusive to end-game dungeons/potential future raids or something else entirely, I think we already have enough tiers you can get via any way you get items (loot chests, mobs, etc.) and legendary items have already been set in place as the "regular best" item in whatever level range said legendary item may be. Mythics are more of the "ultimate outlier" on a scale of the whole game in general.
    Adding a regular tier between Legendary and Mythic would disrupt balance flow because the "Legendary vs. Mythic" balance has already been established for a long time, a potential tier between those 2 should at least be gained in a different fashion that doesn't require being rich as hell or super duper lucky.

    Your drunk. With your current build, from what I know, which is armor and weapon, the highest bomb arrow damage at full hp is 17k, lots, but your pretty glassy. In order to get 40k bombs, you need... about 900% earth damage on your accessories.

    When at 1 hp, you could get a 25k bomb, but your build is soooooooo glasssssyyyyyyyy, and 1 hp with minimal def/agility just won't work.

    If we factor in qira's defences, you do....

    20k bombs at 1 hp
    9k at full hp.

    Your elemental defenses are about
    555
    230
    -230
    135
    -320

    Water and air cripple you, to the point where you nearly get 1 shotted by even a weak weapon of those elements.


    If you add prisms, you can get 100 more on all of them, but you lose lots of HP and are still negative

    This was done without accessories favored in, and assuming 150/150/68/30/0, an impossible number of skill points

    Tldr; you made a glass cannon build, that has crippling weaknesses, and good damage, but nowhere near the 40k you claimed.

    After doing almost every Single boss in the game on any class I have to say that archer was the easiest to do it with.. I dont know if he got nerfed or anything but it is a great and agile class.

    The only thing that suxks is that raw spell damage does not really work on archer, Otherwise I would give you a build that Solos qira in a few seconds..

    Not as effectively; other classes have a higher spell multipler, (500%, 400% amd 420% respectively), and while arrow storm does do more it's also SUPER unreliable

    I guess you are right, however, as a post in LI thread would indicate, assassins seem to do fine with just a single legendary, while that isn't the case with an archer. It also seems that AS mythics are more expensive because they are more effective.

    Yeah, I'd tend to agree that current meta for archer would be mobility, which is why strati is so expensive. In terms of DPS, while the idea is that archer has the highest DPS, it certainly doesn't seem so. Every other class outdmages archer using mythics, which only further declines the class balances. Legendary wise, no idea what's the situation, it very well might be perfect and mythics only being "broken".

    Considering how much I rage playing FIFA, I don't think it would be a smart decision on my part. Game does look amazing if you enjoy getting hammered twice a minute.

    Lots. While that was not the primary idea of my thread, it turned out to be archer mythics vs other mythics thread, again. Most feel like they are underpowered for a mythic and need a damage buff, except Salted. Alright if he doesn't want to change it, but it's a shame, as it's community the one using them.

    Well, alright, that's your opinion, wish you elaborated as to why you think that is, cause not everything regarding archer is fine.
    For example, arrow shield should not do nearly as much damage as it does. No game will ever give you a defensive spell that has high dmg. Well, except Wynncraft.

    That one is on me. I didn't know how mechanics actually worked, and it's hard to distinguish between broken mechanics and actual mechanics. All I see is the dmg I'm doing vs what others do. Didn't know what was wrong, but something certainly was.

    Didn't know that either. Awfully strange that one as well. Arrow bomb isn't a "supportive" or "continuous" spell, there shouldn't be a need for only one bomb arrow to be active at a time. I understand that's probably cause of the balancing issues, but if so, then you reduce the base dmg of such spells, not limit them, as it takes a lot away from someone like archer.

    You guys know a lot more than I do, but I'm not sure I'd agree there. Isn't that the whole point of an archer, to do more dmg?
    I mean, if you look at the gap between uniques and rares, rares and legendaries, you can clearly see the dps difference. It's obvious which tier is which weapon, because it fits into their core purpose, but when it comes to mythics, the gap narrows down, and then you get gale's force and hive bow do more than most archer mythics. Comparing that situation to other classes, there is an obvious gap between all tier of gears, even mythics. I seriously feel like archer's mythics are just a general miss.

    I wouldn't nerf things as much as I'd make PvE harder. It is kinda too easy, yea. Also fixing the glitches would balance a lot of things.
    Also nerfing mythics might cause on uproar. Imagine spending shittone of LE on a mythic that gets nerfed, oh boy, I'd be pissed. I'm looking to make no one angry, just to make the game fair on all ends.

    Agreed. Builds are amazing and gameplay should be up to par with it. I wouldn't update Wynncraft any further, in temrs of new areas, until core gameplay glitches are fixed.

    Depends when you solo'd her. It was a lot easier before, apparently due to a bug/glitch. If you solo'd her long time ago, I'm afraid that wouldn't work this time.
    You are free to try tho, if you can rekt her, I'm all ears about the build.

    Got an example of a build that does good melee dmg? Cause I'd love not to spell spam. Never enjoyed that kind of gameplay.

    I see Wynncraft has several "gamebreaking" bugs and unique features.
    • naturally low health regen
    • health regen % not affecting raw health regen sources
    • elemental dmg reduction being raw instead of %
    • mana/health being replenished every 4th second

    I'm all for unique things. That's why I love grim dawn so much, but if you decide to "free drive" an rpg, make sure you balance things out.
    With the situation of raw elemental dmg reduction, you make weapons with lower base dmg completely canceled out while the ones with high dmg are still extremely useful. Using % reduction would fix that.

    I'm not asking for Wynn to reinvent the wheel, just to put decent tires on it.

    Glitches should be fixed, if possible. I understand jumlas code is messy, but if you can't fix that right now, address the things you can.
    I'm sure we, community, could came up with a solution. Most agree archer's mythics aren't as good as others are. Why not start there? Either buffing archer's mythics or nerfing others to create a more balanced atmosphere.

    I used to be an amateur FIFA player, as in I made money playing FIFA. Every time I'd start that game I wanted to hand myself on the tree in my front yard, as the gameplay was filled with bugs, glitches and METAs that did not fit into a "sports simulation" game. In the end, I completely stopped playing FIFA, cause it was not enjoyable. Many feel that way, as the game, gameplay wise, is going downhill.
    I'm not playing Wynncraft cause of the scenery, but the enjoyment of making builds, collecting gear and the excitement of finishing hard "quests". As it stands right now, it's hard to distinguish between actual balancing problems and glitches. I do not want to make builds that abuse glitches, nor spend time on builds that will get nerfed in the future, as my time is very limited.
    I seriously hope things get fixed/changed, as I don't wanna quit another game I spent so much time on.

    In a more bright light, I managed to solo Qira with a cluster. Literally I replaced gale's force with cluster, left everything else the same and crossed my fingers I won't die. It worked. She hit me a few times for like 7k health, leaving me at bare minimum, but I finished her nonetheless.

    If this thread accomplishes nothing, at least it was educational for me, and for that I'm thankful.
