(upon losing ID-ed item) You try to speak up, but he doesn't seem to care.

[Death] NO PROBLEMS? ALL RIGHT, I WILL BE SENDING YOU BACK NOW. IT WAS A PLEASURE DOING BUSINESS WITH YOU. GOOD LUCK.

Alternatively:

[Death] I'M SORRY, I HAVE TO MAKE SOME SORT OF PROFIT OFF OF THIS BUSINESS. JUST DON'T DO IT AGAIN, OK?

You would then be teleported to your spawn location. Some of you might think "Ugh, a minute animation every time I die?" which is why there would be a way to skip it. If you hold shift for 3 seconds, the current animation would stop with this message:

[Death] ARE YOU THIS IMPATIENT? VERY WELL, HERE IS A LIST OF WHAT I TOOK. GOOD DAY.

There would also be a toggle for the death cutscene in the settings. After completing Tower of Ascension, he would act a bit more aggressively towards you. (You did kill him, after all) In addition, sometimes Death will give items to you if you sit through the cutscene.

Dying in a higher-level location:

This thread has been dry for a while. Most The things you are saying have already been said by people before you. This probably won'thappen because like others have said not many people want to waste even more time that they have lost by dying so that they can hang with death.

Also technically it would be more in line with the lore if this didn't happen because in the quest it states that we lose our memories of the place when we leave Death's Mansion. He just happened to make an exception.
