Hopper Inprovments

Do you think hoppers should only suck in what that hopper is suppost to suck in?

    This has happend to me more then anough times. I do a dungeon i put in the [Tokens] in a hopper and i drop in my weapon. I think that Dungeon hoppers or just hoppers only accept [Tokens] or what it should accept so if you exedently drop your weapon in it, the hopper wouldn't suck it up. So...

    And it is possible because I once made it with command blocks in Vanilla Minecraft

    There might be a way to do it…
    If we use the item sorting system from vanilla Minecraft.

    I indeed have this problem aswel, but it is very hard to fix, maybe not even possible.

    It is possible to fix. Because you can lock a hopper to only some items in vanilla minecraft. (i did it ones with commands)

    Its really easy to do it, you can make the hoppers only accept a certain item.

    The problem is making the hopper on top be the sorting one, so that the items aren't trapped in it.

    no, you can straight up filter inputs by filling the hopper up with only the item that you want it to accept. Then you can use a comparator and a simple logic circuit to sort.

    Yeah, making a custom plugin would be the best way to solve this issue overall, it will surely take a lot of time but it will be very helpful for people who accidentally drop their items.

    EDIT: It could be something along the lines of the hopper eats the item, and if it is invalid it will get dropped again. Since there already is a sorting system for these items for the tokens or similar, the path for invalid items should just be something that teleports and/or drops the item at the hopper location. (And should maybe only apply to gear and items that are not junk/misc)
