    Most Key Guardians are awful at their job, forcing you to take the key they protect by giving you no other way to shake them off. Especially for lower level players, they are a menace, especially if you don't even need that particular key. Essentially they are minibosses that are usually fast and hard-hitting, as well as spawning totally randomly, even being seen inside towns and cities. I therefore think they should be passive unless provoked. After all, the prospect of avoiding your wrath is a pretty good way to make someone leave you and your precious key. The Nii guardians have the right idea, letting you go peacefully by unless you have the nerve to take their runes. THIS is how you guard something. I'm talking to you, Corrupted Infested Pit Key Guardian. Ugh.

    but otherwise it will be like picking flowers, whats the point if they don't fight back?

    They only fight back if you make the first move, I believe. Passive mobs don't fight back, Neutral attack if attacked, and hostile attack on sight.

    Even though I'm level 100 and can kill those things easily, it's still terrifying to see those things running at you, even on a maxed out chestnut they can still keep up with you.

    But in all seriousness, they can get kinda annoying if you have no intentions to fight them.

    Sanswpt tomb. If you kill it it spawns 10 mobs that eat you alive, and you didnt even want a key

    I like the idea, but for a different reason.

    The whole pint of dungeons is not being forced to do them, but choosing if you want to do them for XP instead of grinding or stuff. So why can't you choose to fight the key Guardian or not for a dungeon you don't need to get into?

    Also undergrowth ruins is the worst. Not because it's hard to fight, that's super easy. It just is so annoying with all the jumping...
