World Marketplace!

So here me out! I'm the typical guy who tries to sell stuff on the discord and forums but to no luck.

I was thinking about having a player run Marketplace, where people can buy a stall for however much. Put items in and have other players just turn up, to buy their stuff even if the owner is offline.

I think this would be great for the economy while allowing people to dump Legendaries and Mythics and still enjoy the game.

Once a person has purchased an item a message will appear similar to the item buyer:

"{Player} has purchased your {Item} for {Price}"

You could set the price when you put it in. Also to counter people just leaving stuff in there. It would cost a set amount for a tier for a set number of days

So a mythic could maybe cost 10-15LE a day to keep it in there. If you're unable to pay for it, it stays in the chest until you pick it up it just won't be visible for purchase.​

 

nice money sink but youll need a huge marketplace for all the players, where would it go?

 

I'm not entirely sure :P I'm not too familiar with the world. It was just an idea.

 

its a good idea, it will act as a money sink for a the economy but unless its in another server I cant see where we can put it.

 

As you say, unless it's another server? as such like the Lobby, you could get the compass to take you there? or have an NPC in Detlas or Corkus to teleport you there

also when you are replying to a post use the "reply" button to the right of a post. that way I get an alert my post was quoted.

 

Alright. This has been suggested multiple times, and the main problems are that it increases scamming and wastes a lot of time. This 'idea' has potential if presented correctly and fully finished/detailed.

 

How does it increase scamming

 

According to @captainganon (i think) you can higher the price of an item to an extreme amount, and players wouldn't know how much unless they ask someone else. On the forums, people can point out that prices are too high.

 

People can do that as it is ingame... Not everyone trades on the forums.

How? You can scam people ingame just as easily lol... You have no evidence, or anything that even remotely backs up your claim.

 

Prices are always changing

By increasing scamming, I meant that you can easily a lot of items at once, which is faster than looking for players ingame.
Once, I tried to sell a shitty ided seven leagues for 10eb to a lvl 40. He said it was too expensive, and called me a scammer. See, I'm not that good on the market, so I could be easily be mistaken in a marketplace.

 

It does give a chance for players to monopolize the economy.
