Game Design [dungeon] Fallen Factory Feedback

I just did the dungeon Fallen Factory right after I completed the Envoy II. I did it with @cjakeb5, a level 89 ninja, and with my level 100 mage.

The Strengths:

This dungeon was so fun playing through. The new concept of machinery made this dungeon a very unique experience. I also loved the text and the humor of the boss. There was a lot of parkour different than what is normally found, such as parkour of parts of a machine (the clogs, fans, conveyor belt). Overall, it was a fun experience and props to the CT for making this awesome.

The Weaknesses:

The dungeon is very long. It took over half an hour for us two to complete. Despite it being long as heck, it was fun. But the rewards are very grindy. The Gigabyte, for example, requires you to basically complete the ENTIRE DUNGEON 11 TIMES. That is an insane amount of time one must dedicate in order to get that item (over 5hours 30 minutes in total). I propose nerfing it to 9 boss tokens needed in order to obtain. No one wants to waste that much time for an item. 'cept the no-lifers

 

I agreaa, but I feel like we'll find a way to complete it in 10 mins.. .eventually.

 

This was probably my favorite dungeon to date, but it was very long and 11 runs (at the very least) seems like a lot to me. I agree with you there.

 

I'd have to take it up with salted, but fair complaint. It's something I was concerned of with Corrupted Dungeons as well, but I wasn't totally sure how long the dungeon itself in its entirety would last.

 

Personally I believe dungeons shouldn't be something you have to repeat.
A single, very long, and very fast paced dungeon is preferable to doing the same dungeon more than once.

 

According to Hippie's vid, the reward for completing the dungeon is 335k xp at level 100, I think the xp reward should also be buffed to a base of ~800k xp at level 100 with 0% xp bonus (w/o dxp or txp) due to the time needed to finish the dungeon

 

Base XP reward is 535000. That is to say, at-level with 0% XP bonus or modifiers.

 

I wanted the sawtooth dagger so I had to do the dungeon 8 times ( one of the times bugged so I had to do it 9 times in the end)
took me 4-5 hours
first time was fun
every other time I wanted to kms

 

+100billion parkour

 

Parkour is the best part imo. It's amazinggreat job

 

And then you realize Sawtooth honestly kind of sucks for a legendary (only 600 DPS for a level 91 DUNGEON legendary?)
Also I had to go through the dungeon twelve times to get Discharge because every time I got to the boss I either lagged out or the game broke and I had to restart the dungeon. It broke me

Oh no, only 600 melee DPS when the base for that level is...

I agree. I'd rather do an hour long run of one dungeon than 11 runs of 1/2 an hour. In general, I find the amount of runs needed for good items to be un-necessary.

 

For a legendary though, especially one from a dungeon, that's kind of low; for example, Brass brand and Alizarin both out damage it, even without powders. A slight damage boost would be nice. In comparison, items like Corrupted Witherhead's Bow and Judas reach well above the curve in terms of DPS for their respective classes and level. And even those that don't tend to bring more unique aspects (Wick gives the highest walk speed of any spear, Destructor, Packet and Plague give high exploding, Manna gives high spell damage as well as a health and health regen boost, ETC, as well as outdamaging Sawtooth, Compiler gives 20 Skill Points to every stat), while Sawdust doesn't really bring all that much to the table. Also, Yverlian Blade benefits more from elemental damage boosts, as more of it's damage is elemental, while still bringing more to the table than Sawdust, with boosts to Elemental Defense, Reflection and Health regen.

 

The idea is that everyone kept clamouring for an offensive elemental dagger, so that's what you get. It's got high base damage on its own, and gives lots of damage boosts in every aspect. Plus, you can apply the powders to it to specialize in 1-2 elements.

Quick question: WHEN WILL WE GET A HIGH LEVEL THUNDER LEGENDARY??????

 

Blur, Copper Knife, The Specialist, Lightning Edge, Liquefied Sun, Black, Tsunasweep, Waterspout, CATACLYSM...and probably a few more I'm forgetting about. Take your pick.
