Game Design Legendary Island Discussion And Rating Bosses

So Corkus is finally out and plenty of people have tried out the new Legendary Island challenge which is made to be the hardest challenge in the entire game. Does it achieve that? Does it live up to its promises?

Overall I feel while it's a good challenge most of the bosses don't quite live up to the standards set by Qira and orange wybel. And some bosses could use some buffs.
Though that could be considered a positive as well since there is 10 insanely high level bosses and the difficulty shouldn't be so absolutely impossible that it becomes unfun so maybe that goal was achieved?
Right now my vote is leaning between either It's hard but maybe not hard enough or the difficulty being spot on.
What I mean when I say difficulty being spot on is the challenge being difficult enough to live up to a hardcore challenge but not so difficult that it just becomes absolutely unfair and unfun.
But overall I actually enjoy legendary island greatly. The spectacle and fighting updated and improved versions of old and new bosses of Wynn feels great.

Because I'm so obsessed with useless data, I decided to create a survey asking for your opinion on the difficulty of each boss from a scale of easy to extreme. Feel free to express your opinions in full detail on the bosses and legendary island overall in the comments as well if you'd like.
I'd give my opinion on each boss but I'd need to fight them more to get a better grasp of them.

i believe the bosses needs a health/regeneration nerf, and buff their other skills for balance, since my assassin, although it spams spells like hell i lack out of damage so i cant do enough, not even to the mummyboard

it's explained in Dr Legendary's dialogue before you fight him. He went to the Hive to ask if he could model the last creation after her, she said she'd kill/torture/do something horrible to him if he did so instead of mecha Qira you fight Dr Legendary's mech suit.

Tbh i feel like it needs a buff... 80% of the stuff in there doesnt deal any dmg at all to my warrior on potions and i am not even a proper tank. Especially the final boss fight was hardly a challange for my warrior and i am pretty sure i could do the whole thing without any skill potions what so ever. Yeah it would be a pain cus it would take longer... but you know it should be more than that.
I also soloed it with weathered on my assassin earlier today and i must admit without potions i wouldnt have been able to do it but with potions i was able to melt through the bosses raaaather easily so over all i feel like it needs a buff.

 

It'd be nice to finally have a true raid boss challenge, in which almost nobody could solo it. Unfortunately, no-lifers refuse to take that no as an answer when it comes to that stuff.

 

It's difficult to make a super hard challenge. If it's too hard, you end up excluding pretty much everyone who isn't super rich and doesn't have a mythic and max ID'd armor. Make it too easy and it'll just be a pushover for anyone too good at the game. It's tough to find a balance. It can be hard to tell if it's actually too easy or if the people who have literally the best gear just stomped it, like they'll inevitably do with almost anything nowadays. Plus we had that bug when we first launched where you could skip like 3 of the bosses, including the Cybel, so it's really hard to analyze the initial impressions. We'll definitely consider rebalancing where needed though.

Tbh what i feel rn when i am doing this is that tanks hve it wayyyyy easier than anything else cus they literally dont take any dmg ._. So what i feel might be a solution is to make especially the final boss spam charge quite a bit. Like that tanks will often miss their attacks (especially if the charges are relatively high up in the air) and since many tanks have bad mana regen they have trouble keeping up the dps. This way the dmg wouldnt have to get increased (which would be a bad idea since that way everything that isnt tank would get one shotted) but it would still get very frustrating for the more tanky classes
(Yus i can relate to that ;-; charge spam and tp spam can be annoying af ;( )

 

The levels are just fucked up

Death is lv150 I can beat him in literally half a minute

Mummyboard is lv140 so I thought im just gonna walk through him but nah it took me 5 minutes to kill him

To be honest, legendary isle is not difficult right now. All you need is an acceptable build and the ability to circle strafe.

 

This. The only considerably difficult boss is Orange Cybel /shrug

 

The game is pretty easy, as you can just get a team to crush any foe, but the style of legendary island makes it better to solo it. Go git guud and giv up your tank mages.
