World Mini Mob Totem In Sky Islands?

So, I was running around the Sky Islands near the Skyraider village, when I stumbled upon this mob totem in the wall (I couldn't get many good screenshots as I was being assaulted by mobs):



I'm fairly certain something like this isn't supposed to be there. It's located at around X: 1373, Y: 86, Z: -4432. I'm sure a builder or anyone with access to the build server can simply replace the block with dirt.

 

Oh I've seen something like that else where too.

 

My best guess is that the texture pack textures certain blocks to look like a Mob Totem.
Let's just say that block is Sponge, and some builder accidentally places down a sponge block whilst building without realizing it, that would cause something like this

There are other possibilities as well, such as a badly placed easter egg, from before the Gameplay update which was hinting toward the upcoming mob totems.
Or they were trying to do something other than place a mob totem, perhaps they wanted to put down a item unique to the texture pack, and the texture pack either bugged out or they weren't using the texture pack when they placed the block, and ended up using the wrong one.

 

That doesn't really make sense though. Why would there be a sponge in a river in the sky islands?

dunno. could be a different block than a Sponge

 

I think it's a sponge, considering in the screenshot with the F3, my crosshairs are over it and the debug is displaying "minecraft:sponge wet: true"

 

Whatever its cause, it is definitely a mistake and should be fixed :^

@King Kaelan is right. When using the wynnpack outside of wynn I noticed sponges look like that when placed, so I guess it is a mistake. The totems only look like they do in Wynncraft if equipped as a head (guess in Wynncraft its on an armor stand).

 

Sometimes when building, the builders use sponge as an outline, then use a command to replace them with other blocks

 

Ya I was about to clarify with this; when texturing those walls there must have been a few places where the sponge was only a block deep, thereby allowing the totem to protrude.
