I didn't read all the comments or info but what you can do is make it that it alerts you if someone edited your thread. You should also be able to let other people add people and give up your position.

Possible idea:
When giving another player permissions to edit a thread, that player must have something such as: a certain total posts to like ratio, a certain amount of likes/posts, etc.

 

Good idea, but I don't think so. That main idea is that you're giving your friends/partners permission to edit, so unless you're giving them to random people, then there's no point in having that. Sorry ;-;
