Website & Forums Suggestion To Improve The Wiki!

Add a part in the quest info area ONLY if the quest has cut-scenes, telling the player the stage that the cut-scene is in:

REASON​

1- Some people like me, play Wynncraft with a friend and when the quest has a cut-scene we can't see anything because the other player is on your way.
2- When a server is restarting in 30 seconds, you can go to a stage that has a cut-scene and after the restart you get stuck there (I know about the /kill)

WHY THIS SUGGESTION CAN HELP
This helps because the players that play Wynncraft with friends will be able to don't do the stage/quest with the friend to avoid bugs and won't need to watch Youtube tutorials before making a quest (Watch Youtube tutorials to know if there are cut-scenes in the quest)​

Okay, so, we could encourage this, but;

1. It'll take time to switch every quest to the new format
2. Not every wiki editor may pick up on the new format for future quests
3. It'd probably be better to use "cut-scene," which is a term more people would understand

So while it's a good idea, don't expect it to be instantaneously added. You'll probably have to put in some time adding it yourself.

Will get back to you on whether or not we'll add this. In the meantime, perhaps try to optimize the thread in any way you can.

 

1- I can help editing, I just need permission to add this new format and permission to edit the wiki.
2- If the editor doesn't pick up on the format I can edit and add the format
3- I'll update the thread using cut-scene

We can add this slowly, I just think that adding this even if it takes months is better than nothing.

If this suggestion is approved, I will modify the template so that there will be a field for cut-scene(s). I will be editing the template, for a number of reasons. Based on your image, it's really easy and will be seamless. If this suggestion is approved, you can easily message one of the admins for wiki editing access. Really not a big deal.

It seems you're a bit new to this. Essentially you'll need to edit the source directly, the interactive editor doesn't work. In the source, you'll see info-box / template trees, and you can just add the field (the field will probably be called cut-scene).

I also don't think this will take months. Most likely, I'll have a day free and will update most of them. In fact, only the newer quests have cut-scene(s). Also, the most active wiki editors check the to-do list, so I can just add this, if approved, there.

 

I'll optimize the thread now with the things that @colin350 said and I will change some content that was previously in the thread!

 

This is a small thing, but it isn't like it will be to hard to implement
