World Purchasable Homes

    I've already attempted a thread like this but now i've thought it through. I think it would be cool to have our own plots with our own houses that friends can visit. This would be cool because sometimes after you have lots of money, there is nothing to buy. With plots you can buy a house. Having freebuild would mess up the feel of Wynncraft if there are just a bunch of silly gooses who don't build well. The homes should be premade. Now for the detailed part: where the plots would be is a problem. If the houses were to be premade, there is a lot of room in the ocean between Wynn and Gavel. It may be better if these islands did not show on the map but there are teleport scrolls you can get to visit them. These islands could be purchased. It would even be cool if you could buy a house within a city. This would also solve limited bank space because the players could have storage in their house. If the houses might obstruct gameplay, there could be a whole new city or island of just player homes. The homes could even be in an ocean off of the main map so that if you were to swim, you would never find the mainlands. Although this would be cool, it would be a hassle for the build team. I suggest making similar structures and then just copying them with structure blocks or world edit. This thread is just a suggestion and I love how Wynncraft is. Adding homes may change the gameplay for the worse but I thought it was a good idea.

    although many people have suggested this, it would probably not happen because it just wouldnt fit with the style of the game

    I sure do love a wall of text. Especially when it's about housing; that way I can pick it apart and tell you everything that's terrible about the idea.

    There's always things to buy in Wynn. This isn't a good reason to add housing.

    Yeah let's just get the build team to stop making content and make 3000 different types of house.

    Not nearly enough to fit enough, logically or practically.

    Highly abusable. No.

    Which would go where, exactly? City house ain't gonna go on an island in the ocean.

    This is a terrible way to solve the bank space issue. There are plenty of better solutions.

    The city would be larger than the entire map combined.

    I've already explained why this is a bad idea. Expanding upon it, there's just infinite ocean in this world? It doesn't work logically either.

    People would get bored of that extremely quickly. Hypixel housing works because it's customizable, and the server requires no logic.

    Wynncraft is an MMORPG. Housing works in Minigame servers, not servers like Wynn. It will change the gameplay for the worse; that's exactly why it's not a good idea.

    Storage management is the player's problem
    Quest items are the only exception, but there are suggestions that would fix that

    While this has been suggested I want to remind everyone that it does not mean you should try to go at someone for it, any further posts that don't actually give constructive criticism or actually add to the thread will be deleted.

    Housing is an issue for the WHOLE of wynn. We don't want to attract people who aren't here for the actual adventure. The wynn world is good enough without 'plots'. There really is no solution to make housing 'the best'. I can't make housing a better idea, there is no way.
