World The Drowned Island Quest

-218 -3384 on map (quest area)


I decided to make a quest about a drowned island, where everything sunk except for a small part of the island. I know there is no island currently, so I hoped that one would be added. A small sunken ship should be added next to it, and level 60 marine enemies, swimming around the island. More info on those later. The lore of this ship is that a ship saw the island and tried to rescue the man, but was sunk by vicious creatures, who killed the entire crew, leaving nothing except for a small raft behind. The man took this raft and tied it to a tree on the island, slightly increasing the island span.


To begin, this is a quest that unlocks at level 57. The title of the quest is “The Drowned Island,” and the information is “Talk to Zija at -218, 64, -3364.” The dialogue is:


Prequest:

[1/1] Zija: I wish you could help me, but alas, you are not a high enough level. Please come back at level 57.

Quest Start:

[1/10] Zija: Aha! Someone who can help me!

[2/10] Zija: You look like a capable young man. Tell me, what is your name?

[3/10] Zija: [player name], eh? Well, how about you help me figure out something? I’ll pay you handsomely.

[4/10] Zija: You see, many years ago, this island was a large island, thriving with activity. People from all across Wynn would come to see the beauty of the island!

[5/10] Zija: Until, nearly 20 years ago, a great force came up out of the ocean and smashed the island to pieces, drowning the island and people.

[6/10] Zija: I was at the center of the island when it happened, the only piece that didn’t sink.

[7/10] Zija: A few years later, a boat came, but was attacked by the drowned souls and was sunk.

[8/10] Zija: My first task for you is to salvage some wood and stone from that ship, so that we can make a pickaxe to break the rock seal covering a cave into the island. About [10 wood chips] and [15 stone chips] will suffice.

[9/10] Zija: I believe that something in that cave will lead to a clue as to what happened to our island.

[10/10] Zija: Anyways, make sure to get a breathing helmet II before you search the boat. If my memory is correct, you can buy one in Nesaak.

Quest book updated: Go retrieve [10 wood chips] and [15 stone chips] for Zija.

[1/1] Zija: Well, what are you waiting for? Get that breathing helmet and get us a pickaxe!


Text if player tries to enter ship without helmet:

[1/1] Zija: Are you trying to join those souls? Don’t be an idiot!


Player will then go use a breathing helmet II to salvage wood chips and stone chips from the ship. Wood and stone chips should look like wood and stone fragments, you kill them and they drop 1-2 chips each. Player will then return chips to Zija and get more dialogue:


[1/3] Zija: Aha! Well done, I knew you could do it! Now, just let me craft this really quickly…

Player receives pickaxe, then must take it over to the cave seal. Pickaxe will break, giving player a “broken pickaxe” and player will get more dialogue:


[2/3] Zija: Hmm… It seems that this seal is magic. In order to break it we will need a more magical pickaxe.

[3/3] Zija: Go retrieve [5 stone chips] and [10 soul fragments] so I can fix the pickaxe and imbue it with magic. Just kill the drowned souls for soul fragments.

Quest book updated: Retrieve [5 stone chips] and [10 soul fragments] for Zija.


Drowned Souls will have a 70% chance to drop a soul fragment. After player returns items to Zija, player will get a “Magic Imbued Pickaxe,” which they will then take over to the rock seal and break. You will then get the dialogue:


[1/2] Zija: Perfect! I knew you could do it!

[2/2] Zija: Now just explore the cave and find the beast that did this.


[1/1] Zija: Well? Go find the beast!

Quest book updated: Explore the cave.


Player will then explore the cave, which is full of Water Guardians. Once they reach the end, they will find a Kraken boss. They will fight the boss and, once they kill it, they will get a Kraken Soul. The quest book will then update to say:

Quest book updated: Show Zija the Kraken Soul.


Zija will then give dialogue:

[1/3] Zija: Hmmm… You have only killed a fragment of this beast.

[2/3] Zija: There are three parts of the soul. I do not know all, so perhaps you could talk to Jaar. He won’t know what to do, but he may know someone who does.

[3/3] Zija: Bring me back the other two soul fragments, and I will reward you greatly.


[1/1] Zija: Talk to Jaar. He will tell you the right person to talk to.

Quest book updated: Talk to Zhight on Zhight Island.


Player will talk to Jaar, who will give them the dialogue:


[1/2] Jaar: What do you want?

[2/2] Jaar: Zija? That poor old fool. If you want information on the Kraken, you should go talk to Farrell on the Pirate Cove.

[1/1] Jaar: Go to Farrell and stop bothering me!

Quest book updated: Talk to Farrell at [coords]


Player will then talk to Farrell, who gives this dialogue:

Prequest:

[1/1] Farrell: What do you want? Leave me alone.

During quest:

[1/3] Farrell: Who are you?

[2/3] Farrell: You seek information on the Kraken? Well, he has 3 souls. Each is hidden in a different place. One is hidden on this very island.

[3/3] Farrell: I’ll write the entrance to the cave in your book. Kill this Kraken and return to me, then I will tell you where the third one is located.

Quest book updated: Go to [coords] and kill the Kraken in the cave.


[1/1] Farrell: Bring me back one [Second Kraken Soul] and I will tell you where the third one is located.


Player will go to coordinates in quest book and use the Magic Pickaxe to break the seal to the second cave. They will go to the end, kill the Kraken, and then show the second soul to Farrell. Quest book will update.

Quest book updated: Bring back the Second Kraken Soul to Farrell.


[1/2] Farrell: Well done.

[2/2] Farrell: I have written the coordinates to the third cave in your book. Return to whoever sent you to do this quest with all three fragments.

Quest book updated: Go to [coords] on Skiens Island and kill the third Kraken.


Skiens Island third cave location - 310, -3381 (look on map)


Player will kill the third Kraken and then get an updated quest book, saying:

Quest book updated: Return to Zija with all 3 Kraken Souls.


[1/2] Zija: So you killed all three Krakens? Well done. Here’s your reward, as promised. I salvaged these emeralds from the sunken ship.

[2/2] Zija: And I can craft a magical band from these kraken souls, so you can have that as well.

[1/1] Zija: Thank you for the help!

This quest is go here, grind that. Grind again, kill that, go here go there, kill that, go here, kill that, go here, fin.

 

Seems like other quests that are already ingame, but you have potential for making quests. maybe you should design some more when Fruma comes out

There is already a Kraken. It has a 5% spawn rate at a lake in the Dernel Jungle, maybe a new name for the boss instead?

Also this quest reminds me to much of Beneath the Depths, and that quest is a pain.

 

Oh, I didn't know. Also, I had no idea Beneath the Depths was a quest. I'll have to watch a video on it xD

 

I didn't know about the jungle one. All I remember is the Kraken was the boss of the old Ocean Mini Dungeon (now Galleon's Graveyard)
