World /ignore Maybe??

If you just don't like someone, and they're in the same area as you, switch servers. Wynn has over 30 servers, so you have a lot of places to hide.

And nobody has ever suggested turning off chat in this thread, because we all know how important it is for Wynn

 

1. If you don't like someone and they're messaging you, but still not technically spamming.*
There I spelled it out for you.

 

If you don't like someone, there are still multiple ways to report them. For example:

1. Spam is against the rules
2. Harassment is against the rules
3. Belittling other players is against the rules

If there's another reason, and they don't seem to have a problem with you, most of the time politely asking them to stop messaging you and they will. If they do not stop, then you can file that under harassment in a report

 

There's much less time and hassle that goes into both adding an ignore command and using it.
What if they're young and don't quite know they're annoying, but you're not a jerk and don't want to get them muted/tell them off harshly.

 

Long Answer:
If the staff take a bit of time to respond, it's not going to kill you.

You'll be pretty hard-pressed to find a time when there's no staff online on the forums.

Now, the 4 points.

1. We don't know this. Commands have always been finicky in wynn, especially ones not coded by Jumla, meaning he'd probably have to do it himself. If it really were that easy, it would've been added sometime in the past 3 and half years.
2. Technically life is useless because everything ends. That's not really an argument.
3. I admit that it could help if it were added, but there's no negative in not adding it, other than you having to put in 15 seconds of work.
4. The only "popular" people that would get spammed are mods, and they have /hide.

 

1. It's literally in Essentials, copy/paste, or if need be just take inspiration.
2. Whether or not it's useless is not the point, because it will be used.
3. I admit that it doesn't need to be added, but there's no negative in adding it, other than Jumla having to code a simple plugin.
4. I'm 99% sure there are others.

the only ones that get spammed are media rank and they have /hide and random people get spqmmed by other random people. I just report them and show them the wrong of their ways.

 

I personally see no reason to NOT implement /ignore. It's a basic command of Essentials which can literally be plopped in within 2 seconds. It isn't anything super unnecessary. Plus, even if someone isn't annoying you, you should still be enabled the ability to choose who can and can't talk to you. Adding /ignore has no negative effects (other than clearly being ignored), but if someone's ignoring you, they probably have a reason. So please do add this in.

 

i support this like every /ignore thread because
1. This will save time for the staff and spammers will stop spamming

2. We need it

4. Did i say WE NEED IT? at least for a lot of people

 

Switching servers doesn't always work, I've been harassed by people using /msg. And I tend to not bother reporting them if Death Threats are ok to say. And /ignore can only be a temporary solution if you let it be. Generally it can be quite an effective permanent solution.
